The cool thing I'm seeing in this stream is that these idiots just leave when they don't get their attention. It's fascinating to watch. Maybe all sane people as a whole should stop giving these assholes a platform and they will just go back to whatever hole they crawled out of. It's when people react to them that eggs them on and keeps them around. The key is to have persistence and focus. The people on stream just continuing to chant while the Trump supporters spew whatever they want is what we should aim to be like. Stop caring about what they think and stop reinforcing their behavior through reactions. Keep your eyes on the prize and nothing else.

An AP reporter is there and wants to interview Shia but he won't do it unless she interviews him on stream lol

EDIT: She had to get permission from her editor, but now is doing the interview on stream

No idea. Looking at it from the side (in another country, thinking that it is just bewildering that Trump actually holds the presidency), this "art project" is just something that I really can't expect anyone to be upset about.

I would assume the regular Trump voter just laughs at it.

Also an outsider here, but from watching the stream this whole thing definitely seems to strike a nerve with Trumpsters.

Just have to say I love this. Been watching it on and off all day. So many entertaining and interesting things happening. It's like watching those PS4 livestreams when PS4 was released. I wonder where it will be in a year or even a month... it feels like it can evolve into any crazy kind of thing with time. Hopefully something positive though.

I'm in Toronto and really close to leaving my job and I'm wondering if I should head down to NY and just repeat hope into the camera for a couple days.

It couldn't hurt, right?

I've been thinking of flying from Australia to NY and couch-hopping for a few weeks... if someone pays me $4,000+ in airfares lol

I'm not super in to politics at all, but this stream is truly amazing. Seeing the people show their support and love for one another. It's sad to see that there is plenty of negative reactions to people in the stream. This should be a place for people of every belief, as the "he will not divide us" works on so many levels, from both sides.

I can't watch at work easily, but I am watching it on some weird ass "Pizza Stream". It's odd, I see donations and other things popping up. Just saw a website for Papa Johns come up, too. Not sure who is running it, or who the donations go to exactly. But I can send pizza to people on the stream if I like.

Overall, since tuning in last night for the first time, I have been completely addicted and absorbed in to this. It's so very hypnotic. I am almost sad moustachio'd Nazi man didn't come back today at noon. Almost. Perhaps he saw the crowds and decided his racist remarks wouldn't be welcomed. I can't wait to see this 100 days from now, 1 year from now, and more. The spring and summer months should definitely be entertaining I feel. I've never been to NYC. Closest I have been is Philly, but I would definitely make a stop here if I ever make another trip even close to the city.

what happened to the guy standing there all night did he get away safe, also how long did he hold the fort down for?

I believe, yes. A woman came to his side about 130-145 I think, iirc, and together they were able to help keep them away. From reading the comments, the extra person helped slay the trolls. I'm not sure how long he did stay overall, but Iit looks like all ended well. The main one from last night has yet to make his triumphant return. So far he is 46 minutes late from when he said he would be back.
Anyone else having the stream lag? I can't watch it anymore, it's just stills.
It was for me, it was a slideshow. But I am watching a "Pizza Stream" on YouTube that is fairly smooth. I don't know how official it is, and I have no idea how they are streaming it too, but you can send the people on the stream pizza from this youtube stream, if you like. It has some annoying donation stuff from time to time, but it seems to be working better than the actual site. Linky link- [LIVE] 24/7 He Will Not Divide Us | Sending Pizza to Shia

I love Shia and everything about this, apart from the negative shit and trolling that is, I've had the stream in the corner of my screen on and off for the last couple of days, it's strangely addictive but also nice to see people supporting each other like this. I ended up watching the stream until like 8am yesterday, I switched it off once the Nazi dude finally left.

Edit: I'm watching through a direct link as the site was going down for me yesterday here's the link.

If you click the tiny white dot when you hover over the live button in the top left you can scroll through the last 48 hours up to the start of the whole thing.

still impressed that Shia himself is still there. is he literally gonna be there every day or what? he's already devoted a lot of time to this in just a few days. Imagine four whole years damn.

BTW, dude is still killing it in films, saw American Honey and liked it a lot.

I mean, I check in on it several times a day and mostly they are chanting. I could picture myself stopping by for maybe a few hours and hanging out to participate but doing it day in and day out? That's some endurance.

It almost feels wrong that you post without a gif or video, but if this really is going to go on for years, I expect there will be some.

Was this mostly Shia and his friends? I scanned throughout the stream and I see mostly the same people throughout, and a guy face-timing Jaden Smith?

That stream is much better indeed. The comment section is horrible though, wow. Don't read it. I know it's always been like this, but the internet is such a vile place. Anonymity brings out the worst.

Yea I forgot to include that - the comments are atrocious. I have the window shrunk down to a small size, only big enough for the video, so I can have it up while I work and not have it be obtrusive. Just wait to the donations come in, and the robot voice announces the "message" people add. OPEN BRACKET CLOSED BRACKET OPEN BRACKET CLOSED BRACKET OPEN BRACKET CLOSED BRACKET OPEN BRACKET CLOSED BRACKET agh it gets annoying. Otherwise yea it's much better.

This is just going to bring out a ton of crazies and derail the whole thing. Interesting idea though.

Edit: Anyone see the guy rock up with his black "Make America Great Again" cap and then cover it up with a hoodie? What a wuss.

Yeah, he had a paper that he held up to the camera and smiled, it said "He will unite us"

It's amazing how good vibes and a good message brings out the opposite, without fail. How can you be opposed to this? Is all compassion lost with some humans?

Just random, not stream focused as I haven't tuned in yet.

I truly ask myself this every day, and I'll never have a valid answer. It feels so good to see people uniting for this and shutting down the negativity. I still feel great thinking about the lady who came from Brooklyn to join the gentlemen last night/this morning also.

I understand what you mean and it saddens me to say that yes, compassion is completely lost with some humans. Some people are so full of hate. Hate that they teach their children. It's a vicious cycle that will never end. We'd need a miracle and frankly, I think we've already lost. We're surrounded by hateful people. They're all around us.

I mean, look at 4chan, r/the_donald or any of the other forums on the internet where human beings come together to hate on people of a different race or religion. It's full of them and they came together to vote someone like Trump into office.

Unhinged man reappeared, he got shouted down, Shia called him out for his Holocaust denial, and the man chickened out of his "dick sandwich" claim from last night.

Shia smartly outshouted him, and shoved him back a bit without looking like he shoved him.

so is this connected to charities or donating to ACLU or Planned Parenthood or anything in any way?

given these people are celebs w massive power how about offering something more than symbolic platitudes
