Raining at 5:45am doesn't seem like the best timing for this.
Last night there was this guy alone for a while with a bunch of trump trolls until they left and then stayed for another hour or so I think. Today... eh.
I believe during the days there's quite some activity.
As many people said before, I wonder how this will look in 2-3 years from now (if it stays that long).

The guy is a crappy actor, wannabe artist and shitty human being. He's so desperate for any recognition that he's trying to get stabbed in the throat by people he is harassing to become a martyr.
What exactly did he do to be a "shitty human being"? He can be a little weird, but he's a 100x better person than most celebrities--hell, he's better than most people. He's getting his ass out there and doing what he can to help. There are very few people that are willing to do that. Most just sit on forums and point fingers.

hey could put a paypal link up there, so they could channel donations from all this attention, get it to Planned Parenthood or ACLU or some organization that helps people in a tangible way. until then this is just promoting a millionaire film star and a multi-million dollar museum.
rmde "better than most people" there are folks with blogs out there that have like a couple dozen views total that are channeling this energy into donations, what little they can get. it's not difficult to put your money where your mouth is
It seems to be helping to keep peoples' spirits up. Besides, he's only on stream for a little bit at a time and it's not like his name is plastered all over the screen or something. He's using his fame for something that is ultimately helping. That should be more than enough. Saying "You're helping but not ENOUGH!" just feels wrong. And anyone is welcome to go on cam and promote whatever organization with links. This is the peoples' stream, not just his.

Yeah, he was there yesterday as well. Apparently the trolls are really going at him, someone found his phone number and has been spreading it, trolls calling him, sending death threats and racist comments all day (seems like it's being spread in that pizza stream on Youtube, for example). Idiots.

This thing is going to be a test of wills everyday between a group of self restrained people chanting a meaningless slogan and one off trolls. Whoever has the most stamina wins, I guess. I assume thait always be the crowds..UNTIL something happens. And something will probably happen sooner than later. The first Friday or Saturday night that's not cold or rainy will be interesting. Or someone just walks by in the middle of the night and smashes the camera or sprays right over the dome.

Pretty sure Shia has Jewish heritage (his mother) and the dude is clearly wearing a Hitler Youth hat. I mean, yeah, shouting down opinion isn't the best way of handling things but the dude was a Nazi. Not Alt-Right, he was literally wearing Nazi gear.

You are making assumptions about people on here that are baseless. I for instance, am doing something. Something that is proactive and actually working towards change. This, on the other hand, accomplishes what exactly?
This, to me, is in the same vein as people that change their Facebook pictures in support of some cause without actually doing anything to really support that cause.

Nah, it's more than that. It's bringing people together, in the real world, in a way that a Facebook profile image never can.
Just the other night there was the one guy who was getting harassed by Nazi trolls and then that woman came up, gave him a hug and stayed with him until the trolls left. Another guy came down from Toronto to be on the stream and ended up going out for drinks with people he met there.
Those are just two examples that we know of, certainly more have already taken place and will continue to take place over the next weeks, months and years.
I have no doubt the last part of that is true, he's way too eager to pick fights for it to not be something like that.
The best thing to come from this is that people are quite willing to stand up to trolls and challenge them, and it's obvious said trolls don't know how to handle it.
I think they just expected people to back down or give up like they seem to online, but I think this gives a lot of people ideas on how to actually handle them online now... persistence, and out-shouting them.
