Hey GAF is there any D&D pc campaigns?

Seems we have a big diverse gaming community here and I’m looking for a unicorn and would like to know what my options are for noob D&D computer online games are.

I’d like to participate in some D&D dice roll and conversations like the old days but with a modern pc interface. Basically D&D board gaming in modern times over the internet.

Is there such a thing? And if so what are the best options for someone looking to get into this? I’d like to find a community or multiplayer version where we can play online.

Pc / consoles doesn’t matter.

Thanks in advance!

Check out roll20.net

And if you’re looking for a game, I know there are a lot of DMs that offer campaigns for fairly cheap. I’ve got a friend who runs a campaign for random people, and they pay something like $10-$20 per session or something.

There are some great Virtual Tabletop Applications (VTT). I would check out Foundry, though the community over there (and tabletop communities in general) is not very welcoming to the GAF crowd. Others to check out are Fantasy Grounds and Roll20. I would say Foundry is probably the best overall, but Fantasy Grounds has a lot of premade stuff available to make things easier (but it's not cheap). Fantasy Grounds also bans political talk in their Discord server which helps things. Roll20 is not well-liked but has a lot of support for different games.

And if you want something more graphically impressive, Project Sigil from WotC looks like it could be interesting too.
