Getting a little easier to get account here it seems like. Only 2 days this time. Last time it took like 2 weeks to get in. I had an account by the same user name, but i forgot my password or the forums changed, I don't know. It's been awhile since I posted anything but I'm glad to be able to jump in again with my 2 cents. Still the best damn forums on the net. Does anybody even read the front page?

Oh yeah I guess I should post something about the systems I own just so there aren't any questions. I have an Xbox(second one since my first was a modding experiment that worked and then I screwed it up trying to put it back to its original state), had a GBA for like a week about a month ago and sold it when the PSP stuff started coming out. Looking forward to trying out Sony again with the PSP, and I have no idea which of the next three systems I will be buying. I don't have a love affair with either of the gaming companies, but presently I'm really digging my Xbox, and proud to admitt it, and I'll probably stick to it until the next systems come around. Although RE4 .....I wish I had a GC just for a week. Not to mention the new Zelda. Yummm.

I don't know how you got that. I think I pretty much made it clear I was biased towards the Xbox. After all it's the only system I own. If that's the only system I own clearly that's the one I like the most. The difference is I'm not really attached like some people are to the companies who make them. Bill Gates and Microsoft do not pay my bills.

I have to say, jimbo touches on an interesting point. Why is it that many people DO have this rather odd attachment to a certain console?
What is the reasoning for this? I'd love to see a study on brand loyalty and why people become attached to brands. It can't all be marketing... can it?
Obviously people will have preferences over one thing over another, but with certain products (like cars, games) it just seems that some people take it to the extreme.

Well that part is simple. It's like football. Humans love competition and they love to win. We love conflict and picking sides. But just like football fans, some take it a bit too far. Don't even get me started on Star Wars nuts. Boy do I know one that lost it and threatened a whole movie theater because the preview for Episode 2 was screwed up.
