So trying to kill Claus Strandberg by drowning him and I think I have to poison the wine glass in his office. In an earlier playthrough, it was there, but when I went there now it was knocked over and I can't do anything with it!
Why and how does this happen? So weird. Do I have to start over?

So in Paris, I thought the "Quick Break" method was a little hokey for me. I had to basically face grind Dalia's guard to get him to stop following her into her office. Then I quickly had to take her out and didn't have time to ditch the body. Did I do something wrong? I followed her guard around for a while and he didn't seem to ever go anywhere secret or secluded.
I think the only way I'd gotten rid of him was getting rid of the guard in her private meeting room AND the guard outside her door in the auction room. She'll eventually come in, talk to her bodyguard for a bit, then leave. Just as they're stepping out, distract the bodyguard to keep him in the room (the radio in the adjacent bathroom works as long as the door is open).
Or just stand behind her as she's at the computer, throw something at him from across the room, and while she's staring at the body, grab her from behind.

go into Dilia's office and take out the guard in the corner by going into the bathroom and turning on the radio. When they come back wait for them to talk and as they're leaving bump into the bodyguard before he leaves the room so he stops and she'll walk off without noticing. They just grab him as he turns to leave again.
bumping into people to make space is a handy way of picking people off. It's really useful if you're doing elusive targets although they made it harder at some point because some guards will just ignore you and run to catch up and will eventually turn hostile if you keep doing it.
Absolutely, they are worth playing. Chaos Theory is one of the best stealth games ever; and if you like Hitman, then Blood Money is the closest in terms of gameplay. Contracts is a little outdated as stated, but it's still amazing with great atmosphere.
So, I assume there is no way to start the escalation mission at level 5, right?
I am just doing the ICA Final Test escalations and having to do the same things over with just a few things added is somewhat of a chore with having to exit the mission each time.
Okay Hitpeople, question: do u guys think this game will go on sale again at such a low cost? Possibly come to PS+?
These hitman threads have gotten me piqued and I initially debated Titanfall, then Hitman, then both, then neither. Ive spent enough this black friday, but I cant pass up an offer between titanfall and hitman
Guess Im curious about the pricing and future of the game. I know all the episodes are over so Im curious if sale prices like this one will happen often until year 2 launches.
Maybe year 2 will have some preorder bonus that gives me year 1 content?
Absolutely. Chaos Theory is still one of the best pure stealth games ever, and Blood Money is the second best in the Hitman series for me (and even better than 2016 in some ways, like even more inventive themes for the levels)
If you like stealth games, just get it. It's one of the best games of the year and you'll be missing out for a long time if you're going to wait to Season 2. You might be still playing these episodes by the time S2 comes around.

Man, they're both far and away two of the best games this year. Go for both when you can. Not sure on another big sale for either, prob mid Jan at the earliest?

There's no way to skip ahead. I suggest playing the ones further to the left for each destination - with some of the newer escalations they experiment with bigger shakeups for each level.
The Eccleston Illumination for Sapienza has possibly the biggest changes per level, so check that out. You will have to know a huge chunk of the level very well, though.
Just installed on my PS4 Pro. So what HUD elements should I be turning off for a first play going in blind?
Hate to turn everything off so as not to completely feel naive as to what can be interacted with or not, but a good balance between the game not spoiling opportunities for me nor being befuddled by what is possible would be great.

IMO play the tutorials through until you get to Paris then turn off Opportunities. I'd also suggest beating all challenges on the 'free form' training mission since that gives you an idea of what can be done if only in a bite size environment. From there if you want to go hardcore you can turn off the vision assist too. If you feel a little out of your depth with the initial settings you could put opportunities on minimal to help give you a guiding hand but it will ruin the sense of discovery a bit.
-Why so few Escalation Contracts in some of missions?. Paris has a lot and other just one (with five contract inside).
-What is going to be added or changed to the digital season one when the disc version is released?.
-Any reason why the last two missions of The Sarajevo Six lack an introductory video?.
-When is season two expected?.
-Hitman HD classics on PS3 or 360?.
Already beat the game and seriously this is the GOTY for me, I really can't say anything negative about the game. I'm a big fan of Splinter Cell but his game is in another level of stealth gameplay.
The only thing I don't like is the difference between playing online and offline.

I literally just finished doing this. I stumbled upon a good way to separate him - turn on the faucet in her bathroom. But WAIT until he's done cleaning up the mess to take him out or else for some reason the other guard decides to check on him.
Anyways, level 20 Paris mastery now. And I still didn't quite do everything possible. Gotta move on eventually though.
I know I am part of the echo chamber, but I just started playing and already I am kicking myself for not grabbing this sooner. Huge fan of Blood Money and I was purposefully waiting for the full season before buying, but playing the tutorial and Paris alone so far has gone beyond even my expectations.
Also looks phenomenal on the PS4 Pro. Debated grabbing on PC if this version didn't perform well, but so far the loadtimes have been relatively fine and the framerate has been acceptable(though need to see some of the later crowd heavy stages). The Image Quality is pretty outstanding though.
If there's a setting to be chosen I've not stumbled on it. It runs pretty fine though I have seen what looked like the occasional hiccup. Nothing that will detract from the experience in any way though.
- The newer missions haven't had as much time to get content developed. Plus Paris is the only mission where any content that gets added is guaranteed to be playable by all players.
- When the disc version is released, digital season one will get a soundtrack and making-of documentary added.
- The Sarajevo Six briefings have been inconsistent for a while. It doesn't get much attention either because The Sarajevo Six seems to be underplayed even among people who should have it.
- We don't know when season two will come out yet, or what it will cost.

It was a big problem during launch, but in the last 2-3 months haven't had a disconnect or a problem connecting unless steam was offline entirely. Sometimes it will take a bit longer for it to connect on that initial launch of the game
Ok, turning off objective hints definitely makes for a more fun experience. I'm on Marrakesh now.
I was standing around waiting for the general guy to stand near a windowsill again so I could push him off, and I ended up stuck in a ruined bathroom trying to pick guards off to make it easier.
All the while, listening to two soldiers badmouth their commander through a big hole in the floor. Wait a minute...they're sitting in front of an intercom mic. Went downstairs, turned on the mic without them noticing, and expected the general to go down there to chew them out so that I could drop a toilet on him from above. Instead he came into the bathroom and peered over the ledge - I just pushed him over and got the hell out.
I'm sure there's an objective that walks you through all of that but it's quite satisfying to come up with solutions on the fly.
Only thing is I'm not sure if I'm expected to turn them back on in order to find this cameraman. I tried following hints left in their conversation - I figured he might be in a bathroom somewhere as he apparently had food poisoning. But I couldn't find him anywhere. Did I miss a hint or should I just use the waypoint and save some time?

Arguably it's less a stealth game and more of a puzzle game where stealth is one of the elements to consider. Hitman was always unique among others in the genre due to that gameplay structure

For the general, yes, what you guessed is exactly what would have happened next. So you can do it both ways (and there's a challenge for the other option).
As for the cameraman, the guy with food poisoning is not in the level because he's out of commission - you need to look for the cameraman they hired to replace him. There is another conversation elsewhere that will tell you exactly where he is.
Spoilers for the answer:
He starts outside the shisha cafe, then goes inside and stays there. You basically have to make a secondary infiltration into the cafe before the primary consulate infiltration.
Actually there is - should have mentioned that. There will be one more bonus episode set in one of the existing locations, and it will be in the disc release and the digital full season.

It makes sense to some level I think. The giantness and diversity of the Sapienza map , coupled with the places that are closed or empty at the moment, makes it really together for some remixes.
If you use instinct vision he will still show up as red even if he is on the other side of the map. He is on the bottom level of the boat.

I wonder if there will be a second set of bonus episodes, I didn't like bangkok that much but if they fill the empty half with interesting stuff it could be pretty cool. Paris has great potential as well for a standard mansion mission.
Bought the game and can't play because it's not connecting to the server, can I do something about this or do I have to wait until the servers fix themselves?
