Hitokage is no longer an admin

Speculation as to reasons why and who should replace etc does not matter, whatever reason is only the concern of those involved.

All I will say is thank you Hitokage and so long, thanks for all the fish.

He was always one of the most intellectual people from #ga that I'd ever had the pleasure to talk to. He can also do a vanilla run of Mega Man X. WHICH OTHER MOD CAN MAKE THAT CLAIM?!

Hito was instrumental in the continued existence of gaf for a long time, when we were wandering from host to host in the dark ages.

Timedog and Devo left, probably. Timedog asked me to remove the shirt design he submitted from the gaf store.

The righteous hostility wouldn't be welcome anyhow.

Devo posted last night, actually. Responded to one of my posts in another thread. Gonna be a little harder to spot now with that avatar change though! Good taste in avatar changes too.

Bless that man.

For reference, Hito has been around since around the time (or maybe a bit before) Lore took over to keep this boat from sinking.

Proof positive that a Romney/Ryan ticket is the only way to pull us out of these tough economic times. 7.8% unemployment rate my ass.

Serious question: why do people care so much about GAF drama? It's not *real*. It's like being outraged that the guy who usually serves you in Starbucks has been fired.
I might as well jump in to present a theory:

Gaffers' serotonin releases used to often be the result of meltdowns are megatons, may they be linked to sales-age or betrayal-age. Since these two realms are much less a source of excitement, gaffers turn to meta to feel excited.
Take me as an example, I personally feel excited about this mess although I should not. It's like... waiting for something unlikely or next to impossible to occur. All for my contentment. It's almost disgusting, I feel like a creep. I don't like it.

Yes, again, a very big thank you Hito. GAF is a very pleasant environment. Your efforts, the ones from the whole team, are like love letters to the friendly gaming community spirit. Please go on posting, but I am sure you will.
Who can live without GAF, after all :)

Yeah I was curious and she seems to be a busy bee actually, so no worries there.

For a significant portion of the people on here, GAF is their social life. When you spend alot of your day posting and browsing and interacting with others with common interests, it drama can naturally seem a bigger deal than it really is. However, I don't think that's a phenomenon exclusive to online social groups... infact, it applies to nearly all social groups, quite frankly. =p

You people and your ridiculous speculative gossip about everything, inventing narratives and repeating them, playing a game of telephone with each other until it's twisted and insane and also accepted as truth.

EA probably demanded a sacrifice from Evilore because of the 20 dollar off Origin thing. Just like Mass Effect.

That's the second time Wario has enraged EA.

I think Hito left because of arguments over with EviLore on how to use a stolen black box designed by a European mathematician that could crack US infrastructure encryption, obviously.

It was either he step down as admin, or Hito would be accused of murdering a Russian Diplomat.

I suppose I can understand that and to an extent GAF does make up a large amount of my social infrastructure too. But still, aside from a tiny posse of admirers and a few posters I chat to occasionally on Steam, I never seemed to "get" it quite as much as others do on this forum (the lingo, the calling posters by their first name etc). Probably the most I ever reach out to GAF on a personal level is stuff like the dating, weight and mental health threads.
