Someone posted a comparassion of Hogwarts Legacy running on the original Denuvo/Steam release vs the cracked Empress version

Nearly a 20 FPS difference in peformance.

I thought the cracked Denuvo games still basically had Denuvo in it but countered the checks. These videos do not look identical. Right one looks darker and foggier. Whatever, I beat it already and moved on.

"Erratic" is fucking irrelevant with G-Sync/variable refresh rate. Any additional frame counts.

Especially on a Shiite PC like the one used in this video.
Well, the weaker the CPU the bigger the difference there should be so it would be best to test it with a weak CPU on as low resolution as possible to make sure youre limited by the CPU if you want to know if it makes any difference even if it was unrealistic scenario.
There should much smaller difference with something like 13900k, but it doesnt matter since denuvo should still be present and doing checks as its merely bypassed so it shouldnt be that different.

Id be surprised if there results are genuine at all, the game version on steam is also different (i think i had a patch like yesterday) so its not 1:1 anyway.

Much more accurate comparison could be with something like gotham knights which leaked without it or any recent game (like The Quarry for example) that removed it.

Idiotic video. Denuvo only has issues with weak cpu's. Hogwarts Legacy is the worst example you can benchmark as it drops frames extremely randomly. In some scenes I had like 80 FPS and a few moments later, I had 120 in the same place. Stop posting shit from random youtubers that nobody can trust.

Empress used the earliest release there is. So no day 1 patch or any later official patch. That may be why there's slight differences.
