i was watching it again(and again). It looks like they're launching the game from the gamesave menu. But the camera then cut to the load screen, which could've just been the movie running.

How diappointing

It isn't too far-fetched to call this one a hoax, especially given the date.

I don't know, technically, how that was done, fake or not. But I've got a theory, something to do with modifying the icons/background/video that accompany a saved game. And with no instructions to accompany this, well, hoax.

I'm surprised with all the work he did, he couldn't just make the transition from save viewing to video playing more seamless. It's just an issue of keeping the camera steady. Of course, he still wouldn't be fooling anyone, because you can't exactly execute a save file.

What proves its fake is bootup -- when you run code off the memory stick it goes PEEYOON and gives you the PSP logo on the white background.
