What do you say in the e-mail?

Will this work for titles released after October 1st? (I think yes because that thread you linked to had many unreleased titles)

Will this work for shipments to Canada?

Alright then. I'll give it a go tonight.
The Fall, Pan's Labyrinth and The Last Samurai for €40 with shipping. Not a bad deal, especially considering the ridiculously steep blu-ray prices in Europe.

spider-man, thank you. I'll be getting the Ocean's set too. Not too sold on Spidey, but if I'm getting the masterpiece that is BoB and the Matrix Collection (which I love except for Revolutions) then might as well save on something. I could buy something expensive and just sell it as new too.
 
Is there an automated confirmation email for when you contact the customer service about your order? I am not sure if my email went through cause I did not see the confirmed screen when I sent my request to get a price adjustment. :/
 
Does this deal apply on ANY blu-ray title? Say, can I pick up 2 regular titles and get the Godfather set for free?

I wonder why it doesn't work with the regular checkout. Hope they can fix it in the next few days.

Not unless the two you pick cost more each than the Godfather. They charge you for the higher two and you get the cheapest free.
 
Ugh! I unfortunately have to show self restraint and pass on this deal. I've spent enough on game preorders for this fall anyways to keep me busy :lol

I made a new one too. and that's shipping tomorrow. 9 blurays. Did a lot of damage to my CC. :) Of course the preorder/unshipped stuff hasn't been charged.

God I would love the UK Amazon to do this deal. I'd bite but last time I ordered multiple items from USA I ran into customs trouble - it was a deal where individually the discs would have been low enough to bypass customs but the site I used either shipped them together or left the value of ALL discs in, raising the combined value over the threshold.

i.e. buy 2 get 1 free - price I pay is lower than customs threshold but they state the combined value of all 3 items when they dispatch. Amazon did this to me!

was very annoying.

Gutted as there's a shitload I've been eyeing up for awhile now.

Just remember any canucks ordering out there that if you get defective copies of movies there's no easy way to exchange them, you pretty much have to attempt to scam some local brick and morter to get a replacement. Why is that? because to get a new copy of a busted movie you have to pay shipping for the replacement and to ship your copy back, which works out to 15 USD , given that the average movie worth buying and shipping to canada isn't worth more then 20 USD you wind up pretty much paying for a second copy of the film.

I've bought over 30++ blurays so far - maybe more. Not a single defective one.
 
So what's the deal with emailing customer support? Is the automated discount broken or not yet enabled? Seems to generate an awful lot of extra support staff time for a simple sale.
 
one last thing about this deal that makes it SO good, normally with amazon 3for2 sale, prior to the sale happening, prices get jacked UP, this time, its quidproquo, you basically pay what you would normally have anyhow but you get 1 free movie. :)

This is an error, not an actual sale. They were running one on Fox and MGM Blu-rays, which ended prematurely when Fox dropped the MSRP on a bunch of catalog titles.

I think yes, kind of/sort of. But who knows.

They have to honor it though, and they seem to be (all my orders were honored, including the one above that shipped) because the ad, links to the website that links to the bluray store. The new ad is 2 days old and valid til the 1st of October as mentioned.
 
Just pre-ordered Godfather,Firefly and Lost S4.

Just sent off my email,hopefully I can get Godfather for free.
