Honda's cars seem to all have terribly uncomfortable seats.
You misspelled Volkswagon. That's okay though, I agree.

Another Fit owner here. High five!

It's like a goddamned Tardis. I have used it to haul rubble, bikes, furniture. And its fun to drive. By no means quick, but perky, like nipples on a frosty morning.

2008 Civic Si owner, haven't had one problem with it. I have about 78k miles on it. I must say that it's boring as hell and that I'm looking to get an Audi A5. My Si has been nothing but reliable and sure.

My 95 accord coupe is at 168k miles and still kicking 20 city mpg.

I love curves and the mofo drives the curves well enough to make them fun

I miss my old accord, was so reliable.
I like my BMW too, haven't had any major/minor issues with it.
Surprising to see they both had 57 :/

Whoever is the lead designer for Honda/Acura needs to be fired btw.

CR-Z is awesome but they need to make it a little bigger so it can seat 4.
they already do, its called the insight.

Honda is some boring tired ass company. I'd never buy of their current cars, hyundai has a way better selection of cars then honda.

Two friends drove '94 Civics when I was in High School in 2007. They both currently drive newer Honda's (Fit and Accord) and rave about them

My first new car will be a Civic.

Not surprised. Haven't had any major problems with my '95 civic with 198k on it.
I ride my motorcycle if I want excitement. Which ends up being every time there isn't snow on the road.
wow, ive got a 98 civic with near 300k on it, have only put about $300 worth of repairs in it

freakin love my honda

The Accord is well-designed. Inside, it looks like a high-end car. Especially if you get leather seats.

Honda engines are great. Two major reasons I went with an Accord over other similar sedans in its class are the engine and the suspensions.

My car has been abused, though. In 6 months, it has traveled over 23,000 km. I got into a small fender bender. I've had one instant where the wheel was literally bent due to a large pot hole on a road whose speed limit is 100 km/hr. I've had another instant where two big nails completely devoured my tire. Generally, the roads are terrible here... pot holes, peaks and valleys, etc.. I'm worried about fatigue with the suspensions and tires.

I respect Honda and I love what Honda used to be. Today? Honda is really boring. I have a Hyundai Sonata and it hasn't given me any signs of trouble in over 4 years when I bought it. The new Sonata is gorgeous, both versions of the Genesis are stunning, the Veloster is unique.

Toyota is boring too but has a sports car en route. Nissan is about to make some moves and at least has the Maxima. Fords and Chevys are becoming pretty desirable and appealing, from the Cruze to the Explorer.

What the fuck does Honda have? The boring Civic, which will be replaced by another boring Civic, the CR-Z (DISASTER) and the Accord? They really need to get their act together (won't even get started on Acura). Safe and reliable isn't something only one company provides nowadays. Hot designs & competitive offerings or go away. I'm not saying that any Honda owners shouldn't be proud of their cars but as a company Honda really needs to wake up or fall behind. Competition is really heating up.

My 2007 Accord is awesome, even if it is manual transmission.

My neighbor has a black 06 Accord. I think that car looks pretty timeless and clean. I really like it.

Also - manual transmission ftw.

Every single car I have ever owned has been a Honda.

As for the claim they are cheap to buy, yep, they are and they are extremely dependable.

Love 'em.

They recently said that they will continue with the next NSX. They stopped because of the financial crisis.
Do I need to post the pic again or something? That's the new NSX, soak it up in all it's glory.

Yep, honda is fucking awesome. I could give 2 shits about "exciting" cars. I just want to get from point A to point B without hurting the bank or seeing a mechanic for 15 years.

Yeah. To make it exciting I masturbate while driving to keep up with the rest of the "exciting car" guys.

My Dad had a '94 Accord. Totaled that.

Then he bought a '99 Accord. Then he recently got a 2010 Accord.

I have an '08 Accord that I love.

The Honda Prelude is my favorite car, I would rather have a 2001 prelude than a Ferrari.

Went from a Volvo S60R (intake, dp, exhaust, suspension, and upgraded ecu) to a Honda Fit...aside from surprising the shit out of S4 and M3 owners with the S60R, havne't regretted the change at all...the S60R was a drivetrain nightmare...

Edit: oh and the seats...S60R had THE most comfortable seats I have EVER sat in...made driving 500+ miles on some days a pleasure.

We've had three Hondas in our family and are just waiting for the 2012 Civic to get the fourth. They're great reliable cars and good-looking as well (imo)! Not to mention their dealership here, which is pretty much the best one around.

I really miss it. If I ever become wealthy I'm going to find another 98 red Prelude just for old times sake.

Honda make the best lawnmowers in the world, that's for sure.

My 4-stroke is a ripper that paspalum lies down in fear of every other Sunday.

Their cars... A little too grand parenty for me (amazing NSX aside).

Mercedes doesn't have a very good reliability record.

My BMWs have never given me any issues.

Edit: and no commentary for Rolls Royce? ;-)

Also, I've always wondered...what attracts people to the Subaru brand over other brands? I've never really understood it and don't know any Subaru owners to ask.

Recently had to get rid of my '95 infinity J30 (which i miss so much... no payments was nice). Unfortunately my J30 started having a lot of transmission/engine problems @190K miles, the interior was falling apart, and the radio started crapping out... that was the worst. I stay in Miami so driving is a must and with no radio, it's torture. Not only that, your car is kind of like a moving home pod where you spend time commuting to work, school, extracurricular activities, etc. SO your ride must be comfy, reliable on gas mileage (fuck me, $3.50/a gallon REGULAR right now), and inexpensive to maintain. So I'm totally loving my 2006 Accord. The only thing that I really wanted to upgrade from my last car was an AUX input so that I can plug my phone/iPod and stream music through the stereo...

Anyone got any suggestions as to what can be done??? Please help!

Anyone who says a Honda is boring hasn't really driven one of their faster models - the feeling when vtec kicks in is simply incredible.

I had a '94 Prelude VTiR for a few years. I used to drive it hard (RPM > 7000) pretty much every day, and I never had even the slightest mechanical problem with it. It also had 4 wheel steering, a sunroof, and probably the coolest dashboard I've ever seen in a car.
Damn, I really miss my Prelude :(

86 Mercedes 190e lasted to ~250-280k miles before heading to the junkyard, with a water pump being the only big maintenance/part in 8 years of ownership. While still managing ~25mpg.

Any car can be reliable and any car can be troublesome. I'd rather run cars I find interesting and take care of them than buy something because I don't want to think about it. Though I am a car lover, so meh.

word. horizontal engine, eh? I'm gonna have to read up on them. It's just that they're so rarely talked about or driven in any of the cities I'm in on a regular basis.

+1

my very first car was a 2000 Ford Focus. It lasted me 100,000+ miles in northern weather without any issues. just normal maintenance and that was that. the car is still going strong, though I don't own it anymore.

Not shocked at all to see Chrysler last. My dad had an Avenger for 4 years. Tons of issues. Seat split. Radio was constantly messing up. Lights wouldn't work right. CD player wouldn't read CDs. Aux jack was all wrong. Locks were a hassle. Performance issues. Constantly clearing all the pre-sets/radio settings etc. What a pain in the ass. It was a work car, had the option to buy it dirt cheap when the lease was up and we didn't. That's how bad it was.
