Horizon Forbidden West: outsmart your enemies
What threats await Aloy, and how can you prepare yourself in the best way possible? Guerrilla talks all things combat.

Yeah, ND has definitely raised the bar too high with their motion matching. They have definitely added a lot of new animations like takedowns and melee combos, but it seems like the same traditional animation system underneath. No TLOU2 like upgrade from the ground up.a lot of the animation sequences seem a bit stuttery when transitioning into one another, but that`s complaining on a very high level here.
Probably cost too much in the cpu, but then again look at the sand physics so maybe just artistic choicewhy isnt the foliage reactive?
sand physics are basically the same as the snow deformation they added in the first game's DLC.Probably cost too much in the cpu, but then again look at the sand physics so maybe just artistic choice
foliage is reactive in PC version of horizon , thats why im puzzled as to why it isnt in the sequelsand physics are basically the same as the snow deformation they added in the first game's DLC.
And yes, it's probably a CPU/GPU limitation just like the first game. They chose to spend the resources on making other things look better. Though I was hoping the PS5 would get upgrades like enhanced foliage due to its specs, but i guess thats too much work. Taking a last gen game and making it run at native 4k instead of native 1080p is far easier than creating two different versions with better physics.
Do we know if the PC version of Horizon got fully interactive foliage?
Well, thats just unforgiveable. I am sure the PC version of this game will have interactive foliage. Sigh.foliage is reactive in PC version of horizon , thats why im puzzled as to why it isnt in the sequel
Only for your character right? if you watch a monster or npc walking through any foilage it's doesn't interact unless that got changed.foliage is reactive in PC version of horizon , thats why im puzzled as to why it isnt in the sequel

Yep, I actually like that. Not every game has to be grounded in reality. This feels like uncharted instead of TLOU which is just how it should be.I really didn't realize she was so floaty, and her jump is so high. She moves like Spider Man almost in some of those clips - vaulting off people's chests and then shooting them with an arrow 15 ft away lol. Looks fun though. I'd rather have it be a little more arcade-ish if it expands gameplay options.
I present to you, Abby The Psychopath.Other than that, aloy has the most exagerate stealth neck-break animation in videogame history, that's some ninja shit.
I dunno man, looks so cartoony to meWow. That looks incredible. Hard to tell if the foliage density and draw distance has been improved, but it looks stunning so far.
Thats just their art style. Death Stranding is based on the same engine and looks photorealistic at times.I dunno man, looks so cartoony to me
It's Adult Pixar. Never really seen anyone go for this style before. It's like Pixar lighting, and colors, mixed with a more realistic and adult art style.I dunno man, looks so cartoony to me

Thanks for this, cancelling my preorder immediately.why isnt the foliage reactive?
I think there number 1.( I am guessing you mean Naughty Dog?) Overall I think Horizon and Death Stranding are the PS4s most impressive games.A crossgen game from guerrilla looks as good if not better than exclusive games from other developers.
They are definitely the number 2 between sony studios when it comes to graphic, santa monica can cry in ragnarock for what i care.
