While Horizon wouldn't be my first choice for a setting I would love to see a new, successful MMO come out and shake things up. The most popular ones these days were all released more than a decade ago. Literally 2 decades for WoW.

Hopefully whatever Riot's working on eventually turns into... something.

Seems like the projects cancelled didn't include horizon mmo. According to the reporter who originally broke the news, horizon mmo was initially project H but was later changed to project skyline. Project H was assigned to another game. Hence the confusion.

• Horizon MMO (NCSoft, not cancelled)
• Horizon MMO (Guerilla Games)
• Light of Motiram (Tencent funded MMO Horizon 'knock-off with Palworld/crafting/base building mechanics)
