Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered | Review Thread

I liked the second one, but wasn’t super happy with where it ended. The third will probably be even less engaging but I’ll grab it on day 1 still as I’d like to see how it plays out.

I’m probably in the minority but I absolutely think the mmo they were talking about would be fantastic and suits the world. Exploring post apocalyptic places is great. Would be a great way to flesh out the lore.

That's what keeps me coming back for replays. I just love being in that fucking world. Would be super cool if you could have a small crew working together to bring down a couple corrupt thunderjaws.

Agreed! Running through an old, but still futuristic, city would be amazing. From the roof tops to the deep sewers.

Or I think about finding a bunker in the middle of no where and the struggles they went through. Would be great fun.

I wonder why they call it a remaster? To me, a remaster means higher res, better framerate.

This is more than that. They need a better term.
Because the sssets haven’t been fully rebuilt. They’ve just done such a good job that it would lead you think it was a full on remake.

The story really wrapped up everything wonderfully. I still stand by the opinion that there was no need for a sequel or sequels.
It doesn't wrap everything, you literally don't know who send the signal that fucked up everything, without the signal you don't even have an horizon zero dawn game because machines don't turn hostile so everything goes as planned.

I was personally super curious to know sent the signal, it was a great hook for the sequel because you had different theories.

Sounds good. I'll be picking it up. I'm impressed that they went back and re-did some of the motion capture in order to enhance the conversations. The facial animations really did need some help. I'm also glad they made Meridian feel more crowded and busy. It was supposed to be a huge city in the original planning, but they had to scale it way back. At least the upgrade increases the population.

Early this year, TLOU2 was exactly like that and people said that it shouldn't have been called a remaster.
Now that I bring up TLOU2, I really wonder why people are complaining about HZD considering how much it's changing stuff.

For 5€ (had 5€ of credit on my account due to PS Stars), sure, I'll replay this. The download is +90GB, so even with the DLC, there are obviously lots of new assets, looking forward to seeing how different it will look like.

So this version runs worse than the PS4 version on PS5, unless you have a PS5 Pro?

Just ResilientBanana ResilientBanana , apparently, considers having a (flawless) 30fps Fidelity mode along with a (flawless) 60fps Performance, the first also playable at 40fps and the second unlockable and reaching much higher framerate, as being "full of performance issues".. for some reason.

Man I’m so glad they didn’t fuck with the UI, menus, map music, loadout shit…everything. It’s so good.

I’m two hours in thinking (after playing FW all last weekend) I need to upgrade my weapons by finding a bunch of bullshit and then it hit me like “Naw son. It’s only mods and buying the more powerful versions of weapons.” That’s such a huge difference between games and a huge reason why I prefer this one over the sequel. Way more streamlined and simple. Way more 2017 😂😎

Can you please confirm if there is an option to lock the camera? I hate the dynamic camera the original had, changing constantly from left to right and vice versa

If you want me to make a clip I will

Okay I just checked a youtube gameplay, the issue still persists in this remaster, you can see it very clearly in the first minute. Aloys cameras placement starts on the left and when he turns the camera, aloy is in the right side. They added an option in Forbidden West for this to not happen and I cant believe they havent added it here. Goddammit

I have no idea what you’re talking about or seeing here dude. You can control the camera. Nothing seems out of place here.
