Jesus! That's crazy! Put it back in as an Easter egg.
Some people find it terrifying. It happens. Still it doesn't mean that they are sheltered.I know this is the Internet, and we are required by Internet Law to accept everyone's self-diagnosed "serious mental condition" as fact, but good Lord you people are sheltered if you think this is horrifying. It looks like a straw man cut in half.
There was nothing horrifying about that pic...
You're upset people had a reaction to this? lolI know this is the Internet, and we are required by Internet Law to accept everyone's self-diagnosed "serious mental condition" as fact, but good Lord you people are sheltered if you think this is horrifying. It looks like a straw man cut in half.
I don't think that guy is upset, just sceptical of some of the trigger warning culture. And rightfully so.You're upset people had a reaction to this? lol
What is the problem here not everyone has the same tolerance as some of you.I don't think that guy is upset, just sceptical of some of the trigger warning culture. And rightfully so.

I don't really understand this. Do you feel the same about people who have a fear of spiders? They don't bother me, but I understand arachnophobia is a real thing.
Why is this any different?
Convincing people they're less resilient that they actually are is not doing anyone a favor. My mom passed away from a really bad stroke. I witnessed the entire thing. I was terrified of anything stroke related after that, BUT I later went on to work with stroke patients. And I did fine. I did experience a real PTSD episode when I recounted my mom's episode and passing to my wife. But we are not weak, fragile beings. Unfortunately, we can be led to believe we are, and even convinced we are supposed to be. But that does no one any good.
You don't have to agree. But I know from personal experience it's true.
There's a difference in coaxing someone to face their fears than doing it for lulz.Convincing people they're less resilient that they actually are is not doing anyone a favor. I don't believe your example is really what's happening here.
So yea, I disagree.
There's a difference in coaxing someone to face their fears than doing it for lulz.
I have problems with the latter. Like, I wouldn't mind it if the OP posted the picture, but we all know users who does it after is doing it for reactions.
"Stop being horrified by stuff I'm not horrified by"I know this is the Internet, and we are required by Internet Law to accept everyone's self-diagnosed "serious mental condition" as fact, but good Lord you people are sheltered if you think this is horrifying. It looks like a straw man cut in half.
But it is what's happening here. People are being socialized to avoid facing their fears. True pathological phobias are not that common. The average person on this forum is not going to experience any sort of psychological trauma from seeing those images. And the very few who might find them disturbing could actually benefit from viewing them, I.e. Immersion therapy.
But IMO the worst part of trigger warning culture, as I said before, is convincing people they are less resilient than they are.
As always, no one need agree. But my experience and work in the field lead me to those conclusions. YMMV.
I do agree. People shouldn't purposefully set out to annoy or upset anyone. If that is indeed the intent.
Hot Take: I think some people would like to see the graphical glitches while some other people might not want to see it.
This has me laughing harder and harder with every quote. The way the cursor slowly "reads" that line and decides to nope is fucking brilliant lmao.
Don't be an idiot.Add another milestone for the "triggered" timeline:
18th March 2017: Graphical Glitches

Holy shit, I can't stop laughing at honeycomb head on the right.
I am literally working on a horror game as we speak and was literally just designing monsters.
I have been inspired.

Me too! I can't inflate one, my heart starts rushing and I get way too anxious. This doesn't freak me out in the least, but it's weird to dismiss the people who are. I get very uneasy and anxious when I get anywhere near balloons, so I get it.
Hooooly shit, LOL
they should save a version with the bug and use it for the basis of a horror game.
