I think some of these posters are upset by how quickly cute little internet memes spread into general pop culture these days.

I work for the new student orientation office of my university, and we set up a facebook group for the new freshmen. Jokes that would have been obscure internet jokes 5 years ago are now common sayings. Now you have regular MTV watching 18 year olds saying "youmadbro?" and "trolling" non-stop. It's kinda weird, but it doesn't send me into a rage. Haha

I hate the use of Internet lingo in real life. It bothers me so much.

But planking and horsemaning doesn't at all. I bet a lot of these complainers wouldn't be so pissy if this wasn't a trend. If someone did this as a one-off thing a lot of people would find it amusing but because it's become a "thing", people hate it. I can somewhat understand hating a trend but it doesn't take away the fact that it's amusing.
