How come that the GamePass sub can be fully refunded?

It doesn't make any sense to me business wise... Especially for the shorter games.

Earlier this year I subbed GamePass to play Hellblade 2, finished it and was surprised that MS offered me a refund when I cancelled my sub afterwards. At first I thought that surely they would still charge me for the few days I used GP but sure enough I got the whole money back...

Just now I almost did the same thing for Blacks Ops 6 but in the end I couldn't help to choose to keep GP for the rest of the month even though I don't really want to play another game from GP now. It just felt wrong to get the money back again because I think I got my 18 EUR worth with the game.

Is there a limit on how often you can make a sub for a short time and ask for a refund? If not, then devs of shorter games are screwed as you can basically play their games for free.

It's literally a drop in the ocean for these mega corporations.

Amazon are the same, I had a faulty dualsense when I got my original PS5, they refunded me the whole console because they didn't have a dualsense in stock and told me to get a new dualsense from somewhere else out of the refund money.

Tried speaking to customer service because it didn't seem right, explained it and they said don't worry about it.

Made me use Amazon alot more that's for sure.

On the basis that you pay in Euros, it's your EU law given right to get refunds/warranty's on almost everything, be it in cash/chargeback/coupons within a timeframe

"Customers are entitled to a full refund when they cancel a purchase within 14 days"

That’s why.

They want people to feel comfortable with subbing. The more comfortable you are, the more likely you’ll keep it even when you don’t want it.

Interesting, so I understand Sony offers refund for the PS+ subs, don’t they?
Customers are entitled to a full refund when they cancel a purchase within 14 days, as far as i know thats called a cooling off period, thats why i wrote almost anything, so you cant go and cancel your ps+ after 6 months or something.

And i mean if they do business in the European Union they have to ?, EULA and TOS are not legally binding in the EU.

But tbh i dont really know how steams 2 hour refunds play into this maybe they are good at lobbying or something.
