How do you like your eggs?

Isn't that unhealthy because of cholesterol?

That seems to be the general thinking but I had watched a few videos that fat and cholesterol wasn’t as bad as people think. Which seems to be proven with Keto. I would have to go back and find the articles.

I was watching a documentary that showed when they pushed low fat and cholesterol that’s when a huge spike of heart disease happened.

Incubated. And then raised. And then beheaded. And then plucked. And then cut up. And then put on a grill. And then put on a bun. Damn, it's gonna take a while. I don't have time. Scrambled!

Calm down Mitch.

Scrambled ramsay style is always good, poached in soup or even soft boiled, cut and consumed with ramen.

Cholesterol as we know it is a fucking lie.
Cholesterol is necessary for your brain to produce necessary hormones. Cholesterol rebuilds your cells. It doesn't clog your arteries. Plaque clogs your arteries. Best way I heard a doctor explain it is, "blaming cholesterol for a heart attack is like blaming a fireman fighting a fire for causing the fire." I have a bunch of research on the topic. If you're interested I can post it later. Atm I'm on my phone.

Cholesterol and fats seem to be an area of nutritional science/research that is pretty polarized. For every expert saying “eat more of this” there will be another expert saying “eat less of this” and both have some study to back up their claims

Blood cholesterol unchanged after eating a bunch of eggs daily. I believe in this one the people only ate eggs.

Man ate 141 eggs in 8 minutes.
Still kicking strong.

Good listen video all around ^.

Removing egg limit per day.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23676423
Another research paper. Likely flawed because the test subjects ate things other than eggs.

According to newest research, haven't read this yet:
https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/15/health/eggs-cholesterol-heart-disease-study/index.html
Suspect it's likely a flawed study though. Because unless you give people JUST eggs, I can't imagine how they tested this accurately. You can't effectively manage people's diets for 17 years, which is why most of these studies are bullshit.

From a personal perspective, all I know is that I went vegetarian for 3 months and noticeably felt worse. Now I know this isn't necessarily relevant, because there were other sources of cholesterol in my diet (cheddar cheese, greek yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, non-fat milk) but still as soon as I incorporated at least one serving of lean meat (typically chicken or turkey, sometimes I split one of those Joe Rogan "warrior bars" in half, etc) I felt a boost.

Blood test wise the only concerning thing was my "good cholestrol" numbers were low (but so were my "bad cholesterol" numbers) even though I eat HDL friendly foods. Doc wasn't overly concerned but something was told to keep an eye on moving forward.

Yea, I was vegan for four years and I felt like shit. I’m back to eating a normal diet.

Over easy placed over whatever other breakfast item I'm eating like any other Southerner.

Edit - When I was an OTR driver my favorite truck stops were TA/Petro. Their restaurants sold a cheap breakfast of 2 biscuits split open, sausage gravy, and 2 eggs cooked your choice for 5 bucks. North of the Mason-Dixon line they would serve me the eggs on a separate plate unless I asked for them to just get put on top of the biscuits and gravy. When I asked they would look at me like I was insane.

Edit pro tip - Never order grits North of the Mason-Dixon line, Yankees can't cook grits.

Does French Toast count as Eggs?

Since its basically eggs+Milk with bread dunked in it and fried. If we allow scrambled I think French Toast should be able to get in on this too.

OP needs to also ask Sausage or Bacon.

Most breakfast places force you to chose one or the other.

I think we all know the correct answer is Bacon right?

Depending on how it’s cooked. Has to be that medium cooked. Slightly soft but firm.

I don’t mind sausage patties either. Love that salty goodness. But I tend to use more bacon especially in my egg, rice, avocado and bacon bowls.

I am about 20 mins from break a 120 hour fast. Dropped by the local farm and grabbed some eggs and raw milk. Probably won’t have raw milk for a day or so but after the bone broth I’m going in hard on eggs.

Fresh, straight out of the hens ass. When I lived in the countryside, I used to buy from local farmers or grab some from the hens in the school yard

Majority of the time I go bacon. But that's why I like Denny's every now and then. Bacon, sausage, and ham with a lumberjack slam.

I swear I'm not obese.

Eggs are my most hated food, even the smell triggers my gag reflex. The second they touch my lips I gag uncontrollably.

One food I never got how people legitimately love. Like broccoli, people eat it and think it's ok, but no one goes to a restaurant and orders a plate of just broccoli. But people legit love eggs though and man do I think they taste terrible. One of only a few foods I can't keep down if I tried.
