I'm going to be buying an iPod from Apple's site and I want to use the education disscount. I do actually go to school, but the catch is that I don't live at the address the school thinks I live at (saves me a LOT of money at school). I would have the iPod shipped to my real address. Does Apple follow up with that stuff, will they contact my school? Its not worth it if my school finds out that I don't really live there.

Completely different note- anyone have a good good suggestion for an arm band for the 20GB 4G iPod? I want to use it wile working out.

Apple doesn't follow-up. I also used the education discount (even though I attended a listed high school at the time of my purchase).

An employee at the Apple store told us that he uses his SF State ID even though he graduated from there four years ago.

I dunno about website ordering, but just show any ID that has a picture, name, and name of college at the retail store, and you're golden.
