How does the Intergalactic trailer look so smooth?

Naughty Dog has been doing this close to a couple of decades.

Their focus is on smoothness instead of accuracy or 1:1 control over character.

Remain to be seen how it plays. It will have its fans that already prefer ND games for how they play.

Controlled enviroment. Put in mouse-look and move the camera as if you have parkinson and see how smooth it stays.

Their animation group are bona fide virtuosos.

We can only pray they continue to use their powers for good.

Motion blur probably.
ND always had the best motion blur and animations.
Their 30fps games always felt amazing

Don't know...it looks like TLOU2 to me just on newer hardware.
That's all I see as well. Personally I think Hellblade 2 already surpassed it in terms of facial animation. It'll look super good though I'm sure. I hope we see futuristic cities and other fun stuff. Just having ND do something with a bit of fantasy involved will be really interesting to see.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
That’s also what locked 30FPS looks like to me.
I don’t get why some people don’t see it as smooth.
Because they got used to expecting the game to look like it does at higher framerates so anything below 40fps loses it's HFR look and appear choppy.
Think about it, people are actually playing games at 40fps.
This is 20 FPS lower then what they demand is needed & only 10fps higher then 30fps
but it has the same look that they associate with a smooth framerate, so it all good.

In-house engine from the finest and more resourceful first-party studio in the world.

We have just not been exposed to the level of technical excellence associated with Naughty Dog's original works for some years now, but I bet you The Last Of Us Online would've been 60fps without a doubt while also being the most visually arresting experience this generation at the time of release.

Are you ok?

First you pull up videos before 2020...then you post games not even made by ND....

Reason I pull up the old video is to show that whatever you see teased from the trailer doesn't mean it will be what the end product will look like.

I also remember everyone was convinced that Uncharted 4 was hyped as a game that runs at 60fps.

Perhaps the strongest technological statement made at the E3 2014 press conferences last night was Naughty Dog's intent to run both of its major PlayStation 4 titles at 1080p resolution and a top-end 60 frames per second.
