How is your temper?

I think I'm fairly patient. I feel more disappointment than anger at people nowadays.

I've just accepted that many people have their hangups and it doesn't matter if it's politics or fanboyism or something else. They can be disappointments to their own parents but it's not my problem to solve.
 
I am always amazed at how people will do stuff they know is obnoxious.

Stuff like pulling into an apartment complex late at night with the bass in their car cranked all the way up.
 
Very volatile. I can go from 0 to 100 in a second.
As a defense mechanism I try to have a passive atitude about life. I try really hard not to care to avoid getting really angry. Because anger is like poison to me.
 
It historically has taken a lot to ruffle my feathers, but I guess recently it's been shorter. Partly I guess stress and being on edge from my mom's battle with cancer, but also maybe even more so just being confident in myself and not taking anyone's shit.

Typically 3, now maybe 5, 6 on a bad day

While I'm at home? 8 or maybe 9, mainly due to stress. ( working on managing it better at home)
 
Is being irritated the same as having a temper?
At work I feel light as a feather, nothing could make me mad. At home it's all non stop sarcastic remarks and a kid who says whatever they feel like. I hate to say it, but some days I feel like my dad. Nicest guy to work with, but very grumpy when he finally got home. So 1 at work and 7-8 at home. I went to anger management as a teen and I always remember those sessions we had at the therapist's office. How to count to a number or breathing exercises. I learned to brush a lot of it away, but I hate having to explain my own methods of cooling down whenever I use them at home. It's like a toxic hurdle you have to jump over.

I'm pretty chilled, patient and a bit of a joker so people don't really see me like that.
But when I do lose it, it's a scorched earth event.
Hell a year ago I actually exploded at work and my boss was actually impressed by my outburst which I didn't expect 😂
 
Normally I'm pretty calm but between a week of backpain, the week of waiting for the prescription for cream to treat the backpain to be filled and a general "nothing working out" for few weeks has been making me a bit testy.

Right at this moment I feel like punching the person that broke into my truck. It would probably be pretty cathartic.
 
I was a solid 8 when i was younger and working out like a mad man, got down to around 5-6 when i tried changing how fast i went from 0 to pizdiec (half a second flat).

Now with two sons i'm back to around 7-8.

I know i have anger issues, i do my best to be calmer around everyone, but FUCK ME IT'S SO GOOD TO TELL SOMEONE WHO BUMPED INTO YOUR WIFE TO GO FUCK HIMSELF BEFORE I'LL KICK HIS NUTS TO KINGDOM COME!
 
Pretty much 0 or 1 most of the time, in fact pretty much all the time

I try to stay calm and collected in most situations and try to de-escalate or seek common ground. Especially with work, the kids or when life brings stresses

But for that tiny slice of time that I don't stay calm. Then it's a pain as I rage mostly internally, but can vent (like a volcano). It's never violent. But it surprises people. As I very rarely let it out and even then (sadly and regrettably) it's usually the ones closest who have pushed the wrong buttons or over stepped the mark

I am working on it, trying to take different approaches and to not let the anger take control

The rage is good for fuel at times. But it's something I would prefer to use for more positive benefits
 
I can go from a 1 to an 8 in an instance over something trivial, so that's not good. Patience really isn't my strong suit, and I can have some serious mood swings. When it comes to road raging, sometimes I'm Gandhi on wheels, and sometimes my voice gets coarse by the time I get to my destination.

Then again, I'm usually level-headed when others are stressing out, so that kinda balances it out, no? lol.

Long story short, I'm all over the place.
 
I generally sit around a 1 or 2/10 on the temper scale. I used to have a fierce temper but as I got older my level of give-a-shit has evaporated. It's rare that i get mad and even rarer that I show it.

Except when I'm driving. Lazy, oblivious drivers piss me off.

I used to be quickly angered some years ago, but through my job i grew and learned to keep my composure. At most i am mumbling to myself these days.
 
Annoyance and bitterness come easily to me. Anger is rare, and usually just a flash.

I've never lost control of myself; when I hear people say they "lose control" I simply cannot imagine what that's like. Sounds scary.
 
Depends where I am. At work, I have an almost infinitely low temper. In my car, I've yet to have an actual road rage incident, but goddamn I feel close to it sometimes. People who don't know how to drive, they just... ugh. Urge... to kill............ RISING.......
 
Most of the time, it's like a 1-3. Repeated stupidity will eventually get me to about an 7-8. Then I just ignore you before it gets any worse.
 
Pretty good, I can't really remember the last time I lost my temper with somebody. I obviously still get irritated but I usually just keep those thoughts to myself and let steam off when I get home and just find relaxing things to do.
 
It used to be terrible, but it's getting better with age.

I can't be arsed getting angry these days, unless it's about something really important.
 
I'm pretty calm and It's not easy to piss me off in day-to-day life.. but behind the wheel of a car is a whole other story.

I hear ya.

At work, I do finance, so that involves giant spreadsheets, complex numbers, using SAP etc... I enjoy showing young people how to analyze stuff, build tools, even just getting the hang of using Excel since the real world is so much different than dabbling with basic stuff in a college course.

But when it comes to showing 40 or 50 year olds who have been working for 20 years the same tips over and over again like their brain cant understand or memorize what I showed a month ago, it amazes me how dumb people can be. And some of these people work at jobs involving numbers. Its not even anger, but as you say disappointment. Even worse is they can always just google the answer like I do. 99% of the Excel and analytical stuff you need to do, someone has asked it on google the past 20 years and you'll find the answer. Instead of wasting my time, just google or Help function your issue and try testing it yourself. It gets to a point I think to myself "how the fuck did this person even get hired?"

For all you gaffers who've never worked in an office and wonder how brainy people are working at big corporations, trust me. Half the people are retards. But the company still does well purely on being around for 70 years with a legacy of 1,000 products and brand power, so it can survive no matter dumb the people are. As long as the company has enough people making and shipping the product from the factories, the company will survive.

Depends on the day and my overall mood. It can scare me how easy it is for me to get pissed. I'm not good at hiding it either.
 
It's okay workwise. I've an advisor level job at a government agency, so I have to deal with higher ups and politics. There's a lot of bullshit and keeping up appearances going on, but I've learned to not get too emotionally involved.
In traffic I can have a bad temper, but it's limited to cursing in my own space/car and I'm okay with that. No more of the risky antics I used to do as payback.
In my relationship my temper has gotten worse over the years. The bad temper stems from not communicating enough with eachother and an increasing feeling of dissatisfaction and not knowing how to turn the tide. One of the reasons we're having a break on good terms. It helps to assess things and do some soulsearching when you give eachother some space.
 
Almost always pretty mellow and patient. For some reason though, I'm extremely irritable with a couple of people close to me, even though I do love them - namely, my brother and mother. Even just being around them, I often come across as kind of nasty with a short fuse, even though they don't necessarily do anything particularly terrible to provoke it. I can't quite put my finger on the reason though. On the contrary, my group of friends know me as the friendliest and most even keel of the group. The few times I've lost it came as a surprise to them.
 
Weird is what I would describe it.

There are certain stuff that pushes my buttons. And most stuff that makes people angry doesn't faze me.

It doesn't matter. Anger is always always accompanied by regret in my case. Words and actions that shouldn't have been said have happened plenty which is why I consciously try to stay calm. It's not perfect but I always try.
 
I kind of have a temper but I always keep it to myself. If you notice, I never try to insult people here personally.

But I do get extremely anxious when somebody replies to me. Like I have the shakes and get terrified but I guess that's why my psyche got me on anti-anxiety medication.
