I wanted to make a personal breakdown of all the crap I need to buy for the rest of the year. This is sort of a financial, to know how much dollars worth of angel dust I need to sell on the streets of Montreal.
This, of course, wouldn't be a problem if companies didn't stuff all their big releases at the end of the year.
Anyway, in order of release, any important title and why and why not I'm going to buy it and how much $$$ it's gonna eat up.
Here's what I'm buying on release for sure:
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door October 11, 2004 49.99$ US, 69.99$ CDN
I really enjoyed the first one, one of my favorite RPGs ever, I have no doubt this will live out to expectations.
Katamari Damacy September 21, 2004 19.99$ US, 29.99$ CDN
Dad needs all this crap because he uses it to make stars to replace the ones he drunkenly broke. The beginning of each mission starts with dad commanding you to accumulate a certain amount of goods, like 10cm worth of trash or whatever. -IGN
That's all I gotta say.
Metal Gear Solid 3 November 1, 2004 49.99$ US, 69.99$ CDN
I'm getting it. Those clips sold me ten times over. The camouflage, the setting, the disarm moves, the story, everything, it must be mine.
To think that the first game I finished in the series was MGS2.
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes November 15, 2004 49.99$ US, 69.99$ CDN
Looking solid, I want more metroid lovin' this holiday season, but I'm gonna check the reviews before buying.
Halo 2 November 9, 2004 49.99 US, 69.99 CDN
I dont know actually. I haven't played the first yet, and I really want to, but I'm trying to find it for cheap. I want something to play on my Xbox this holiday season, but I'm just no interested in Fable at all. Maybe I'll get Burnout 3. But what sold me on this was mainly that ilovebees.com thing.
The rest, I want to get eventually, but not at full price.
Pikmin 2 release date: August 30th, 2004 Cost: 49.99$ US, 69.99$ CDN
haven't finished the first one yet.
Baten Kaitos November 16, 2004 49.99$ US, 69.99$ CDN
Japanase RPG fix. It's looking very good, art-wise. I wanna get a bit more impressions.
Donkey Konga release date: September 27, 2004 Cost: 49.99$ US, 69.99$ CDN
looks good, but I'll get it later.
Burnout 3
I liked the 2nd one, but I didn't play it for long before I got tired of it. I'll probably rent this first, then see.
The DS November? 120$-180$ US?
My SP died on me 3 months ago and it's been hell without it. But I decided to wait for this. Whether I get this one release or not depends on the release games (WarioWare + Animal Crossing + a good action game and I'm sold).
Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic 2 December 6, 2004 49.99$ US, 69.99$
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap December 31, 2004 29.99$ US, 49l99$ CDN
is that about it? am I missing something? I'm open to suggestions.
PS: I'm getting Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for Xbox in January, not for PS2 this year. I dont like realistic racing games and I dont like Guilty Gear.
