So I just got my Nokia 6620.. sweet as pie... I have a 1GB card on the way as we speak and am getting ready to convert some anime over to watch on my phone for a plane ride next week..

anyone else here watch a lot of video on your phone? I did one test and quite honestly, that is DVD quality (of course given the size of the screen and resolution). The video looked absolutely gorgeous on the screen and full AAC stereo audio to boot.

anyway, just looking for thoughts..

p.s. gaming on the phone is meh... I mean the actual games are gorgeous and a blast, but the joystick leaves a lot to be desired, and I'm not a big fan of the keys on the phone.. overall I would give the phone a 9.1 taking off points for the keypad, lack of megapixel camera, and non-ergonomic joystick... and like .05 points for having to take out the battery to change memory cards (though it shouldn't matter once my !GB card gets here).

Gaming on phones does indeed suck.

I don't know...the layout on my Treo 600 makes it pretty easy to play NES and Game Gear games. :)

Too bad my phone is DEAD. :( But soon I will have the full value in cash which will pay for the Treo 650...PCE gaming on the go!

I didn't say suck... big difference...

the joystick on my phone is actually very responsive.. it is simply that it is not ergonomic. it has a ridge around the top that wears into your thumb after a short while. that and the joystick being directly above the keys makes it difficult to use it like a typical controller...

however I certainly wouldn't say suck... SkyForce was awesome.. Prince of Persia: Enemy Within is simply one of the best platformers I have played, mobile or otherwise... if I could hook up a blutooth controller to the phone I would be in heaven. :p

anyway, the main thing stopping me from watching movies now is the lack of a decent memory card.. I was using the XviD calculator and see that I can get an hour of "DVD quality" video into about 110MB. a bit over what I was hoping for but still small enough that I can pack a 1GB card with 9 hours of video.
