I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I'm just curious what people here pay for cable. Bills are fucking me over and I'm considering downgrading my cable to basic as possible, but 2mb internet with "basic" cable (~20 channels) is the most basic package they have, and after tax it's a bit over 70 bucks or so, and that sounds fuckin bullshit to me, but I dunno. Right now I have 3mb internet and "basic extended" cable and in a month, and after the initial deal runs out it'll be around a 100 bucks or month. Fuck that. I'm going to miss Comedy Central, tho. :( I better learn how to use bittorent...

oh and btw, it's the only cable service in this area....Charter Cable in Madison WI. I hate these fucking cable monopolies.

i get basic for $40, then another $40 for broadband every month from Comcast. Im thinking of dumping the cable and getting a bootleg box from my brother.

I pay around $140 a month. This includes every channel you can imagine (including HD), digital phone service, and broadband internet.

I was just about to propose the idea of pay-per-channel cable. I'd buy that. The more channels you bought, the less expensive they got. I'd only need a few. Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, HBO, IFC, Sci-fi...

I pay about $60 for cable, HBO and broadband from Comcast, but that's a package through my apartment complex.

Nothing. I don't watch enough tv or have enough time to watch tv to justify paying $50-70 per month for it. I'd rather be reading a book or playing a video game.

EDIT: I pay about $40/month for cable internet, though. Gotta have that.

I read this thread last night and decided to try it out while I was at the Comcast office to pay my bill (About $80 a month for internet and basic cable). They literally threw a cable box at me and signed me up for digital + internet at $56.99 a month for 6 months :lol
