Nah, i7-3930k on a Asus x79-deluxe Motherboard if I remember correctly. Still holding up to this dayAre you using a Xeon? Well yeah, that's not a thing you'll typically see as someone's home equipment![]()

Currently have 32GB in my desktop (2x16GB Trident Z @3600mhz) along with an 8GB Nitro+ 5700XT.
My laptop also has 32GB (2x16GB Hyper X 2666mhz) with an 8GB RTX 2080 max-q.

When I was using my Xeon E5-1680 V2 in an X79 Deluxe I had it with 64GB of 2400mhz DDR3 (8x8GB). Then when I switched over to a smaller Rampage IV Gene, then I went with 32GB in a 4x8GB setup.
My laptop is super old: it's a Yoga 2 with 8GB RAM, a Core i5, and a 500GB SSHD.
I'm going to upgrade to a 32GB, i5, SSD in the next couple of years. I'm not in a rush to upgrade yet, though.
