How much would you donate to a Shenmue 3 kickstarter by Yu Suzuki?

I know the chances are slim of this ever happening. (Here's what Suzuki has said about the topic previously: http://www.joystiq.com/2014/03/21/yu-suzuki-researching-but-not-committed-to-shenmue-3-kickstar/ ) However I'm just trying to look at this as a hypothetical.

Whenever this topic is brought up there are lots of comments about how it would likely fail. I think some people are erroneously thinking that a kickstarted Shenmue would need a budget equivalent to the first game's. I don't think it would, especially if it was just using the same tech as the old games. All they would really need is some higher res textures and I think fans would be pleased with a game that looks largely the same as the old ones.

So in summary, if this were to ever happen how much would you be in for GAF?
I'll start and I'll come back in periodically and add the hypothetical donations to this top post.

Personally I would have no problem donating $1,000. Yes, I'm serious. That's how much I need this game in my life.

EDIT: Looks like there's a similar thread over on the Shenmue Dojo and on the Shenmue 500k group on facebook. I'll just add all the totals together. Why not?:

~$44,195 from Neo Gaf
~$10,250 from Shenmue500k
~$4,600 from Shenmue Dojo

Our present hypothetical total is ~$60,717.

I wouldn't donate any money to any Kickstarter doing work on any IP owned by a major corporation.

Neither should anyone else.

As long as the reward tier includes a physical copy, $100. I would expect this for a console and include an English sub option.

If he was able to develop it for Dreamcast and port to whatever else, for a region free physical copy for the Dreamcast with English subs, I would give $250.

If there were no rewards, just donations, I would kick in $50.

If it was only digital, would give $60 at release.

The idea that was batted around before was that part of the kickstarter fund would actually be for Yu to buy the IP rights from Sega, since it doesn't seem they are using it.

Gonna need you to narrow it down so I can add to the sum at the top.

You are grossly underestimating the costs involved with acquiring an IP, even if it is a dead one and also grossly overestimating the number of people who would actually pony up money to launch a new game.
