Is it just me, or anyone else seeing huge mobile ads today? The top one was 25-30% off the screen and the bottom are about 50%. Curious, since I had these big empty areas while I navigated and then they popped into place.

Same for me. The only REALLY big ones are one the bottom where it basically doesn't matter, but I'm just waiting for one of them to start autoplaying some bullshit.

Yep. Just started seeing them that s morning. Guess I should splurge for a GAF Gold Membership.

Yep it's very annoying. I had moments where the ad didn't mod and I'm left with a huge black space at the bottom, thought something was wrong.

I'd totally pay $1 for ad-free, I doubt GAF makesn even that much off me given the ads are always irrelevant and I never click any of them. If it's stupid expensive (like $4 p/m for Reddit) then there's no chance of me subscribing at all.

Yup I would be down for paying for an ad free exp to support Gaf

These big ads today aren't sitting well with me at all. Most of my browsing is via mobile at work

It might be a good idea to not make the ads on the site a huge pain in the ass and security risk if reducing Adblock usage is a goal.

I wonder if they'll ever invest in an app? I'd be down for a paid app just to make the mobile experience better. It's okay now, but this kind of stuff along with all of the more vile redirect ads makes mobile feel kind of sketch.

Expect to see more of it across the web. Advertisers are making a huge push for desktop ads on mobile; thankfully my company won't go that route. But I expect others are going to.

Am I in the minority who thinks they're okay? I mean obviously everyone prefers less ads, but I think as long as the top one remains at 100px and doesn't become the 250px one at the bottom, it's reasonable enough. These are standard sizing and placements for mobile these days. I mean just personally, that's the setup I use on my own sites.

Exactly the same size on my screen too. I don't care that much about them, they're mainly ads for mobile games, travel and anime merch

Is this site being prepped for a sale? It's been constant anti user decisions.

like what? other than the ads
The amount of trackers has steadily increased. It's a huge amount now. More than theverge and that site is a resource leech.
