Yes, voting for this man to become president seems to be smart.

Maybe we can split the country again, get a little civil war going.

Woah, I'm in Utah and I had no idea. I can say though, for a die hard republican state, as far as I can tell Trump is not very well received here by most Mormons.

Can you believe that all it took was a racist running for office to make this happen?

Let's ignore every other racist Republican that's been running and attack Trump. Cruz is racist. Kasich is racist. Romney is racist. Let's not act like gerry mandering isn't a racist act. They just used code words and different language.

True. I guess he should have said blatantly racist.

The problem I have is people ignore those and are jumping on the Trump hate train, without going to these other people's rallies and doing the same thing. Why isn't Cruz getting hate for him supporting people against civic rights and saying the senate should be full of people like him?

Hey this group is blocking traffic and stopping me from getting to where I need to go, let me go ahead and support whatever cause they're in favor of.

It's not rocket science, Trump is THE GUY, and has been dominating the media with his garbage spewing and shitty rallies for months. Cruz is disgusting, but when you have someone like Trump, he doesn't actually matter, no matter how much he actually should in terms of condemnation.

They should atleast wait until he gets to the general election to do this. It doesn't do anything at this point other than strengthen his support. His numbers will go up because of this. Pissing people off by blocking traffic isn't a good solution if you are trying to sway people's decision.

This will win people round. Clearly the far Left in America has given up on intellectual debate and instead wants the like of Trump to just melt into theme ether.
How do we know these are people on the left? Utah is like a conservative holy land

I don't think that's the point of these protests. Think more along the lines of sane people saying "fuck this shit" and letting it be known.

I can just imagine that's how some of those people out there who care little about politics are feeling right now.

Stop protesting in the way I don't like! Go protest over there, where I can't see or hear you!

Um. What?

You seriously think it's okay for them to block traffic?

The poster you quoted is right, this will endear no one to their cause and it should be fucking illegal. Protest wherever the hell you want but it's not okay to disrupt people who might be trying to get to a hospital or work. Jesus fucking christ.

Was there last nigh. Reposting from Poligaf...

Just got back from the Trump event in SLC. That... was quite something. Seemingly a perfect snapshot of America in 2016.

Loved seeing so many protesters out there. We were in line for the event initially, but ended up on the side of the protesters once they arrived. Really weird venue choice... Only held about 700 and there were probably 7,000 people there wanting to enter.

Seeing people screaming and cursing at one another for no other reason than their political alignment was a pretty upsetting. Then again, it goes to show how much this election has divided the country and has allowed anger and fear to drive that divide. (Edit: Somebody corrected me in saying that the election has illuminated and exacerbated the deep-seeded divides that already existed...)

The most common response from Trump supporters to the protesters? "Get a job." Of course.

This legit pisses me off. If that was my route to work I would lose it. Also, what if there is a ambulance that needs to get by in a emergency? This is definitely more of a ignorant protest.

As someone that suffers from extreme anxiety, I can't imagine being trapped like that with no way of knowing when it will end like a normal jam.

Trapping people (unless they abandon their cars) is not ok.

Physically stopping people from attending a speech or physically stopping a speech from occurring is going too far in my opinion.

What would the tone be in here if Trump supporters physically blocked Sanders supporters from attending his speeches?

The point of the protests is to make sure people are aware that Trump is a racist. And it Is working. This idea that they are protesting "incorrectly" is silly. They know people will still vote for him. It's everyone else that matters.

Uh people blocking traffic makes you want to vote the way they want you to vote? I've never wanted Trump to win so badly in my life.

Awesome! Fucking over minorities and the country because you might get caught in some traffic.
