Lovely. I'm 45, so I blame that LOL. I only asked because it can be cheesed by anticipating.

Case in point. I really should have cropped that screen grab.

Not sure how good my "conscious" reflexes are at my age (like if I consciously tried to test them, or in a fight etc.), but my "unconscious" reflexes have always been incredible. Even now at nearly age 43, if something slips out of my hand, or off a counter etc. I can almost always grab it before it hits the floor. Sometimes I'll even "hot potato" it a few times until I can grab it securely. I remember one time at a friend's party in my late 20's, I was fairly bombed and went to get something out of the fridge, and knocked a few things off the top of his refrigerator (I'm 6'1", so this was around eye level or a bit above). I managed to catch 2 of the 3 items (one in each hand) before they hit the ground despite them going in different directions, and "caught" the last one with my foot before it hit the floor, to soften the blow. My friend looked at me and just said "what the fuck did I just see?" :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I learned I am much faster with a mouse than on the iPhone on that reflex test. Got like 170 on the computer and like 240 on the iPhone.

Also what’s the trick to cheese it?

False test, the real one you aren't touching their hands prior to the drop. It's too easy to sense their muscle letting go before the ball starts to drop, poor science. Yes I understand there are people that can do that real ball drop test without touching, and it's impressive.

A far better "real world" reflex test is this series using decision making vs basic reflex -

Test 1: Person 1 holds a basketball and person 2 flags their arms left or right for person 1 to pass the basketball that direction.

Test 2: Person 1 does the same as test 1 but must pass the opposite direction to what person 2 flags e.g. left = pass right and vice versa.

Test 3: Person 2 now introduces elevation to their flagging e.g. arm left up and arm left diagonally down. Person 1 now has to bounce pass on random flags pointing diagonally down.

Test 4: Person 1 now has to do the opposite to the person 2 elevation flagging and opposite direction as well.

Your reflexes and sanity will go to shit with these real world stimulus input, decision making, reaction output sequences. Protip: this is the type of shit elite athletes and fighter pilots are fucking amazing at and train with constantly.

There are machines to test reflexes that do this type of stuff.

I just provided an example before with Gasly that I think is pretty impressive, but that's a formula1 pilot, somebody as you say we can consider Elite athletes that train for that constantly.
