For a moment there, I thought we were talking about the PS2 game with Bruce Campbell.
I still would have preferred if they skipped Miles Morales and spent the entire time making a Spiderman 2 that was more of a generational leap.. same with Gran Turismo. I was probably expecting more a Horizon ZW -> FW level visual improvement.
Said it in the other thread, but the way they described it sounded like "hey look same but with faster loading times between characters, a bigger map, and loads of costumes!"
You have to play it first, I loved the first one and it wasn't boring.Game seems ultra boring. Still the same Ubisoft map filled of tons of icons leading to mindless activities.
Although I am a Sony fan I think I will never play it.
I mean the fact that they managed to release:Second, I can't be sure but given they're a very efficient studio, miles might have actually been a subset of the work from this game, making it so if they didn't do miles, that just means this one would have come out a little sooner. A conversely, if they were going to make something really new, it would have taken a lot longer this.
Starfield is a mediocre game, and SM2 will most likely be mediocre as well.Looks better than starfield and some think that is a gotg.
I mean the fact that they managed to release:
Miles Morales in November 2020
Ratchet & Clank in June 2021
and next
Spiderman 2 in October 2023
is insane and yeah they should be commended for their efficiency.
At the same (and sorry to basically repeat myself lol) it makes you wonder what the Spiderman team (assuming the Ratchet & Clank team is separate) could have achieved if they skipped Miles Morales altogether and, say, released Spiderman 2 in 2024 or something. That would've meant no resources being diverted to any PS4 versions.
I love that gameFor a moment there, I thought we were talking about the PS2 game with Bruce Campbell.
Yeah it looked really good. This is a good candidate for a 'bigger, batter, better' approach to a sequel. That's what they did for God of war and horizon.
Tbh I think this is a better approach than those games. Not saying it's the most revolutionary thing ever, but the faster web slinging and character switching are actual "next gen" improvements/changes to the core game design of the original. Which is what Forbidden West and Ragnarok didn't really have.
Looks like a playing-it-safe expansion on the first game with tons of asset reuse
Translation:Looks a lot like Spiderman 2018.
But does it feel/play like nextgen tho
You aren't making the point you think you are there man. Ragnorok came out, people played it, and kept on saying it felt like more of the same. Then the narrative changed to "It's not a sequel! It's part 2!"It’s a direct sequel you numb nuts. What did you expect? To play as Batman in a Spider-Man game?
This is GoW: Ragnarok all over again.
Based on?Starfield is a mediocre game, and SM2 will most likely be mediocre as well.
Traversing the city and the combat is the highlight of the Spider-Man games and is quite fun. If that is boring to you, I'd love to know what is similar that is not boring to you.Game seems ultra boring. Still the same Ubisoft map filled of tons of icons leading to mindless activities.
Although I am a Sony fan I think I will never play it.
Because Xbox doesn't care about how you play, just as long as you have a subscription lol. It's like a gym, they just want your membership, they don't care if you never show.I'm so happy that the PS5 isn't hamstrung by a Series S like console.
That’s just how it looks on Series SThat's just VRS 2.0.
And your is also a mediocre post.Starfield is a mediocre game, and SM2 will most likely be mediocre as well.

Yeah, they should have gone with a fat asexual transgender woman swinging around Rio de Janeiro.Looks a lot like Spiderman 2018.
Do you have a death wish bro? You say that here??? They have killed for less!Looks like a playing-it-safe expansion on the first game with tons of asset reuse
Or you know, a visible significant advancement since they are one generation apartYeah, they should have gone with a fat asexual transgender woman swinging around Rio de Janeiro.
With RT.
The speed at which you traverse NYC with those graphics should already show a significant advancement.Or you know, a visible significant advancement since they are one generation apart
Care to throw out some examples of what you consider a visible significant enhancement on such a game?Or you know, a visible significant advancement since they are one generation apart
It’s a direct sequel you numb nuts. What did you expect? To play as Batman in a Spider-Man game?
This is GoW: Ragnarok all over again.
This is so true. I I played through the first game twice, and even in my second play through I would just find myself swinging around because it was fun and relaxing.Traversing the city and the combat is the highlight of the Spider-Man games and is quite fun. If that is boring to you, I'd love to know what is similar that is not boring to you.
This gotta be a stealth pony thread right? This trailer is graphically as underwhelming as the original reveal, and shows no new information. I'm convinced you're grasping at straws to damage control.
Starfield is a mediocre game, and SM2 will most likely be mediocre as well.
Why not just hit pause instead?Spiderman 2 will probably be just a pass for me or wait on PS+. I don't particularly appreciate that it barely has any loading screens anymore, even the character switching shown is instantaneous, and fast travel from the map to gameplay, again, no loading.
I like my games even this gen with multiple loading screens, as they allow me to take bathroom breaks, create a sandwich, or twiddle my thumb to exercise.
