This game design looks sooo outdated compared to type of games that are releasing now.
If that means it doesn't take 12 hours to get good, I'll take it.
That's subjective.
Talking strictly about game design here. Looks like something from 2009.
It will ran at 60fps, that is next genBut does it feel/play like nextgen tho
That's subjective.

Going by that logic, NMS is a generation ahead of Starfield when it comes to exploration. That's subjective.

Looks like a playing-it-safe expansion on the first game with tons of asset reuse
Care to throw out some examples of what you consider a visible significant enhancement on such a game?
Double the size of the city, at least 2 playable characters, no loadings, even faster movement through the environment, new enemies, no more last gen release (thank fuck) and continuing the story people enjoyed last time.
Trolls gonna troll.Or you know, a visible significant advancement since they are one generation apart
Now do that for any game that went from PS4 to PS5. Not PS3 to PS4.
Ofc it is a Sony thing we need to have special argument for it, like bro just admit it is not a significant leap it is okay Jim Ryan wont show up in your dreams and demand a pound of fleshNow do that for any game that went from PS4 to PS5. Not PS3 to PS4.
I'll wait.
They really should go “Far from home” route and set this game somewhere else than NY. It just looks too similar to the first 2.
There is one part of that trailer I don't understand. Why would the public in one area of New York call for only either Miles or Peter for help? If they're in trouble wouldn't either Spider-Man be helpful?
You're talking visuals only?
That might actually be a purchase for me, if only because of TokyoSpidey 3 in Tokyo would be rad
Touche
Yes go on attack Zelda, make sure no one is talking about Spider-man now, muddy the water for King JimYou're talking visuals only?
That's fucking rich coming from a guy with a zelda avatar
Obviously there's an image quality improvement from the first, but I guess if you're used to cell shaded cartoon games at 30fps every last and current gen game with more realistic graphics start all looking the same
Kinda like Elden Ring and Dark Souls? That’s more like a positive
Odd complaint when a huge number of games aren't doing things drastically different with the overall design. Yet many are still great.
In what way?
Funny you mention muddy, that's exactly what I see when I look at Zelda's graphicsYes go on attack Zelda, make sure no one is talking about Spider-man now, muddy the water for King Jim
Who is talking about Zelda? Go to the offical TOTK thread and throw up all over there, Nintendo games were never graphically or technologically impressive but the ONLY thing Sony had going for it this past decade, take that away what do you have left?Funny you mention muddy, that's exactly what I see when I look at Zelda's graphics
Like loading screens? This game design looks sooo outdated compared to type of games that are releasing now.
Definitely, only graphics in the past decade. No gameplay, no stories, no voicework, no immersive audio. Basically Sony's been selling paintings for the last decade and according to you they aren't even that impressive. lolWho is talking about Zelda? Yeah, because one is a demo at only 30 FPS. The other is a full-fledged game running at 60 FPS. lolThe hell am I Reading? The game looks good but that's about it, it's miles behind the Matrix demo.
A couple of recent examples:
Starfield: a few button presses changes your planet. Instant switching of biomes. There is a loading screen but it's fast enough. Gives you very good visual variety.
Your post it’s so salty that I can taste it through my phone. This game design looks sooo outdated compared to type of games that are releasing now.
Not enough jank and load screens? This game design looks sooo outdated compared to type of games that are releasing now.
THAT is your example of "modern-day game designs?" Button presses on a menu to fast travel and loading screens?!
At least put some effort in your trolling man. This is too obvious
How is this trolling?
Why are you taking instant switching of biomes for granted?
Why don't Insomniac make it if it were so easy?
Many of nintendo games are also aimed at having a skill level for a children. many people love them cause it puts a smile on their face something i always here from nintendo fans. For me sony has the vastly better gameplay, and i don't like uncharted franchise lolDefinitely, only graphics in the past decade. No gameplay, no stories, no voicework, no immersive audio. Basically Sony's been selling paintings for the last decade and according to you they aren't even that impressive. lol
It's ok to have preferences, no one's forcing you to like what you clearly don't. If you prefer the cartoony shit with the same 3 or 4 protagonists in every single game narrated in baby babble speech, that's ok. But you don't get to call out games for an aspect you preferred ones are 5 gens behind
That is why it's trolling. You're spreading false claims.
- There is no INSTANT switching of biomes in Starfield lol.
- There IS instant switching of biomes/neighborhoods in Spider-Man 2, which Insomniac literally showed today.
I LOVE me some Elden Ring, but this is a weird take. ER's open world was probably one of it's weakest elements design-wise. Art direction-wise it's 11/10, but ultimately it fell pray to the same copy/pasta pit falls of all open world games.Elden Ring: Open world exploration guided by world design.
