Can you play as a Roman?

Turning water into wine is the best super power if you wanna flirt with 50 years old annoyed housewifes.
Oh jesus I just got an awful image, with a T-shirt that says "IT"S ONLY ONE GLASS" but the glass is one of those "mega pints" that are basically the entire bottle. Also, she's has massive camel toe from her way too tight yoga pants(she never does yoga).

I guess the only enemies in this game are Romans because if they followed the source material this game and dev would get Kanye'd.

So is it out now?... is it a stealth game?. Like do you have to make sure that no historian or writer alive gets to hear about you or your miracles, or anyone with access to ink and papyrus for that matter?... because it would be game over if that happens.

It seems impossible to accomplish a game that slightly captures what Christ was like. The amount of criticism you open yourself for because everyone has various interpretations of Christ. I may check it out.

I would think that Assassins Creed could do a game where you weave in and out of the time of Christ. You could kill Herod and other romans. And walk amongst Jesus and his disciples and hear a sermon or two.

The I am Jesus Christ Prologue demo is here and we get our first look at gameplay. Join Jesus as he tells his mother Mary about his search for John the Baptist. Captured on pc using a 4090 graphics card we set everything to the maximum settings as Jesus would have wanted.

There is a hope this game will make religion look even more stupid and that's always a good thing!
It's NOT a good thing. Whether a religion has beliefs that are true or not is NOT the true importance of religion. Most people need something that gives them purpose in existence and religion has proven to be the most effect stabilizer in history.

Even many so called atheists are unknowing creating new forms of religion, but this is getting off topic and goes into politics, so I'll leave it at that.

As for this game. I'll be watching my favorite streamer play it.

I'm an atheist but you're not wrong.

Jebus should be mocked

Do you feel the same about religious figures from other religions, or is it just Jesus and Christianity?

I'm an atheist myself, but I respect religion and people's right to worship. However, I've never understood why Christianity is the target for hardcore atheist attacks and why they don't attack Islam or Judaism with the same vigor?

Actually any religion should be mocked when they try to jam it down my throat. Regardless of whether it's Christian, Muslim, Judaism, Hinduism etc. Yes I take a hard stance on this

I respect people's right to worship but when it comes into other threads that where I have a issue with. And yes I feel I'm justified in saying that.

There's no religion I mock more than Islam which is the motherbase for the worst ideas religion can come up with.

lol

Game looks like a nice option for Christians or Christian parents. I am not Christian myself, more SBNR, but it's nice that Christians have an option like this, rather than just the usual "worldly" stuff.

I wonder how it'll be received, especially among Christians. Even in this short clip, they have scenes and Jesus dialog that don't appear in the Bible, so it's clear they aren't taking a strictly Bible-based approach. That surprised me, since I assumed the developers are evangelical and conservative, so they would "stick to the script." Also, the budget seems low, and it isn't exactly jam-packed with action.

Is that like lgbq+ but for religions?

It looks like it was really made for memes / streamers rather than being sincere, who knows. Actually teaching thoughtful theology in a game would be interesting but, not sure how you'd go about it.

The one part they could have taken instead for a solid game is the "harrowing of hell," meaning when Christ is crucified and before resurrection, during which he saves the souls of the past locked away in the underworld.

:messenger_grinning_smiling: It stands for "spiritual but not religious." It's a broad, vague category. It encompasses everything from new age woo-woo types to those to integrate wisdom and practice from various spiritual traditions, east and west, without adhering to the specific doctrinal beliefs of any one particular religion. Then you've got people who derive spiritual beliefs from NDEs or from philosophical or even science-based arguments for the existence of "God," for lack of a better word (not the God of the Bible, more like a Big Mind or intelligence/consciousness).

For me, it's a hodgepodge of many of those things, all stitched together with seams that don't come together neatly, and with some contradictions and inconsistencies. I consider myself more of a seeker and explorer, rather than someone who's found all the answers.

I would have been ok with a simple no.
