I am, restrictively, giving away a lifetime Steam account (see inside)

Conga-rats Enco. You seem like good people. Add me on Steam when you get the chance (though not just yet as I need to delete someone as my list is currently full) and we'll sort out how best to go about authorising your PC in about 10-12 hours or so.

Congrats enco i guess your sitting like this reading this right now.

This is a good idea but I'd understand if the winner would be hesitant to essentially grant me access to the entire PC, although concern could be mitigated by making a standard user account expressly for me to authorise the system within Steam. We'll sort something out.
You could use software like TightVNC or Team Viewer. When you log in remotely, both you and the host would be able to see the same desktop at the same time. So he would know if you started browsing his secret stash of porn :)
He wouldn't have to give you his Windows password either - the programs use separate authentication.

I don't want to be the party pooper here but is this type of give-away within the terms of conditions of the Steam Family sharing program?

The only reason I ask is because I'm sure none of us would want to see your steam account banned for the sake of this give-away.

As if I didn't already think highly enough of JaseC... and then I stumble across this thread. Wow man... just wow.

Congrats Enco on the win, you just struck gold.

I dunno who Enco is but it's nice to see that we have over 100 generous GAFfers =)
Who's Enco, I don't recall seeing his posts on the Steam thread =/

He's the one with the Ellie avatar. He posted in the Steam thread yesterday.

Ah, nice. Thanks.

sucker isn't playing wheelman either, it's going to haunt him forever

Wheelman will be back! Outrun, too... if Sega ever makes a proper new instalment. ;)

Just got home from the cinema (Transformers...)

I... have no words....

I.......

:'(

JaceC. I love you.

Honestly can't believe this.

Grats Enco and big ups to based Jase.

To all who entered but didn't take home the prize; don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Nope. As per the SSA, Valve only forbids charging for access or the outright transference of ownership:

You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account, nor may you sell, charge others for the right to use, or transfer any Subscriptions other than if and as expressly permitted by this Agreement (including any Subscription Terms or Rules of Use).

Giving away my account, log-in info and all, would have been more ideal for Enco, but I'd like to continue buying games. ;)

The fact that you own Wolfenstein 2009 makes me want that account, since I was one of the ten people in the world that loved that fucking game, but I played it on 360 and it's no longer listed on Steam. Stupid Activision and Bethesda not playing nice over the Wolf publishing rights.

EDIT: I've actually given away at least 25 games, but not with modbot. i'm guessing that doesn't count, though?
