I'm banning myself from buying stupid shit from here on out. All this downtime has led me down a dark path of obsessive online shopping.

I'm not buying shit from here on out, apart from groceries and paying bills. I'm going to enjoy the stuff I own.

There's no better feeling than having a bank account full of "fuck you money" and I'm going to just sit and hoard that up. If I going to collect something, why not collect money?

Stupid cheap thrill online shopping. I'm done! Anyone else ever have to curb a shopping addiction before?

Simple solution: just stop buying shit

I’m bad for impulse buys. I tend to buy a lot of PS4 games that are on sale just because they are on sale... And I might never play them, and the majority of games I do buy (even new games) I never make it very far into them. I’m trying to be more selective about what I buy, but I keep doing the shit.

Just like comics, old games, DVDs, books, and stuff. I buy stuff with the idea of enjoying it in the future rather than focusing in the now.

It's like I'm always trying to find something that'll make me a happier person, and it never does. Obviously I need to fill my void in another manner.

My mom's real fucking sick both mentally and physically, and was kicked from her group home for being too much to handle. I took her in as she had nowhere else to go, and have also been working from home in the meanwhile. It's been very rough on me mentally and I'm sort of latching onto any form of escapism I can.

I'm hoping I can find somewhere better for her once all this covid 19 horseshit passes.

I need to just chill the fuck out for a while.

By far my main offender for impulse buys is gaming deals. If I see any game that has been reviewed at least moderately well and is 30 bucks or less I just always convince myself to buy it. Between PSN and Steam I probably have 200ish games I have either never played or tried once after buying on sale just to then forget about

Ouch. That is pretty shit.
You just need to think before you buy and just buy quality stuff.

Like VagrantStory, you can get one in good condition on ebay for ~100$
Or Suikoden2, you definitely can get that under 200.
Parasite Eve is not very expensive, nor is SyphonFilter. Unless you aim for a good condition original release.
