I don't find "Friends" that funny, but it sure represents the time period

Frasier is absolutely the best sitcom ever created. (Yup, even more than Seinfeld.... but the two series are really all you need)

friends was never all that funny (but it’s a good time capsule).

There is weird shit afoot with Kelsey Grammer

In 1968, his father was murdered in a home invasion. In 1975, his sister was kidnapped, raped, and murdered in Colorado Springs. In 1980, his two half-brothers died in a scuba diving accident.

I think Friends was more relatable to non US watchers...and that's why it's an international hit while Seinfeld is mostly (and sadly) unknown outside the US.
I was lucky enough to discover Seinfeld in original version late at night on a paying channel in France but most people didn't have access to that channel (it cost a lot of money but had movies before any other channel).
It's definitely in my top 10 series of all time and my favorite sitcom. The next best would be Himym, then BBT then and only then Friends.

Bottom line:
Seinfeld feels real, Friends is wacky.

A show I never see anyone talk about is News Radio. It had an all star cast, especially if you liked The Kids in the Hall.
