My point is that POP GAF is very understandable if you have a grasp of the lexicon. Contrary to popular belief, POP GAF is more than just words thrown at a screen. Stan speak has developed into an almost complex lexicon that has spread across most of pop music culture. You can go to pop music forums like atrl.net and afterld and see people speaking and posting gifs in the exact same manner as POP GAF. It's actually kinda fascinating.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't understandable. And it's actually quite easy to pick up.
 
Pop Gaf is not making a good case at all in this thread, that being said their taste and existence don't really phase me or confuse me. I'd say the oddest thing about that group is how they really try to excrete a diva attitude in their posts, it's really really really obnoxious.

I don't care if a singer doesn't write her own songs. Actors don't write their own script either. Doesn't make them any less talented.

Talent can be used in different ways.

There isn't a case that needs to be made, really.

If excreting a diva attitude (which is an absolutely ridiculous replacement for what is actually "not giving a fuck and going about their business") is considered obnoxious to you, then you should probably leave GAF because, surprise, every subcommunity does that here. You're just nitpicking because you don't like PopGAF.

You go to NBA-GAF with a mentality like the one you have and I bet dollars-to-donuts that you'd be trolled out with your tail between your legs. That's a fact.

I guess singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Judy Garland aren't real musicians because they didn't write their own lyrics. Never mind their near-absolute mastery of the human voice as an instrument and emotional conduit - they didn't pen those lyrics! Biggie wrote them lyrics!

But movies and television can't be done with one person, it's nearly impossible. Also an actor isn't speaking or doing what they genuinely think or feel, that's why it's called acting.

A musician should be singing or performing from what they personally create or feel, keyword is should. Is singing easy and can everyone sound good while singing? Fuck no. But the fact that some musicians put more effort into stage antics or looking pretty than writing their own material is sorta shitty personally.

No, not giving a fuck and having a diva attitude is different. Your hostility is really odd frankly, I should leave Gaf because of a posting style that a lot of people don't use? Why bring up NBA Gaf? I don't like a certain attitude that some people post with, I don't hate PopGaf because not everyone there posts like that outside the PopGaf thread.

I was wondering when someone was going to make this thread. Popgaf seems to be one of the most hated group on here, but I don't know a single thing about them because I never click on threads that don't interest me, and since they don't seem to raid other threads, I really have to ask: Why do you give a shit? If you don't like something that much and don't understand the people who like it, don't click on the thread.
 
The only slight annoyance I had with Pop-GAF was that their gifs slowed down my browser.

But seems the Chrome team fixed that, so it's all in the past.

A talented singer can sing anyone's text and make it sound believable. It's the same with actors. Both are forms of expression. Some do it better than others.

I'm sure it is easy enough. It's harmless enough too, I don't give a damn (it's annoying when someone's post consists solely of the slang, but that goes for all slang). I was just saying, the comparison was a bit sketchy. And I know you guys have discussion and aren't just "stanstanstan", I've peeked in before.

I used to be a flip-flop on PopGAF. Now I've just learned to embrace the love and shade they throw at my faves on a daily basis.
