None of us actually ever stated this. They think its what we care about but our faves are BLESSED enough to be TALENTED and SUCCESSFUL as well as BEING SOMETHING to the public for all these years.

If only POP GAF followed Mariah's sonning and realized that we're the wrong genre to come at with Disses. You should have known that passive aggressiveness always loses to a combination of bon mots, god flow, argumentative virtue, and diddy adlibbing in the back.
You can't win them all, friends. You can't just always drown people in gifs and language few understand. We know. We CREATED much of stanguage. You have been allowed to inherit our originality, our words that the mainstream steals and corrupts, our dress, everything. For that is the nature of your genre. To take everything that is original and good, and to bastardise it and essentially fuck it into a hole until nobody wants to hear it anymore. You should have known that you would inherit the L.
Like Nasir the gawd, you lost. And you might lose for some time more as you realize the hollow, stale satisfaction you get from billboard charts in an era where nobody gives a fuck about buying music and people would literally rather play their own music through a cord in the car and at parties than listen to what your genre has to offer. But like Nas, maybe it'll get better for you.

Um... wrong. How many records has MIA sold, or Jesse Ware, or Ellie Goulding, or recently Britney Spears? Reading our thread you'd thing thoes heaux records were flying off the shelves. Slaydele has outsold all our faves and she barely gets any press. You'll see some ppl stanning Slaylor Swift, but them heaux are... different. lol.

Just cause someone asks for receipts doesn't mean all we care about is sales. Of course it's a topic, as it is in any genre. Whether it's TV or Music or Movies or whatever, you compare and rate things. That being said, again, we all enjoy pop stars who don't sell gazillions of units. Lots of people don't even like Taylor Swift in the thread, and she's selling the most units recently.

Nigo's time is done (Human Made is trash) but his international relevance is due to Pharrell, no question. Plus BBC and Ice Cream hardly take any cues from Bathing Ape.
What does it matter if it's brought up first or last? All that matters is that you said that we care more about sales than talent, and that's wrong. We care about talent more than sales, but discussing sales doesn't mean we only care about them. Not sure how you came to that conclusion.

The DARLING of OT2 was none other than Jessie Ware (who we introduced you guys to, you're welcome), and her sales aren't anything to write home about.
Neither are Florence + The Machine's or Lana Del Rey's, and they are two of the most lauded acts amongst PopGAF.
Yes, sales come up (and often when we're throwing shade at each other), but one could argue that it would be weirder if we didn't discuss sales.
