I understand yall are doing it for fun somewhat, but people in here have denied how much yall bring it up as a way to put other artists down and that was the point I was trying to prove.
I'm trying to use soulja boy to bring down the genre lol. I know he's terrible and not representative at all.
I was using him as an example of a rapper who has faded away after his 15 minutes of fame, which happens to a lot of pop artists too.

To be honest, I don't even feel like searching through this thread, but there were definitely some of pop-gaf that tried to deny it.
Pop artists maintain their fan bases but the Pop genre itself constantly changes over time. That's the very definition of Pop music.
Our definition of hits are different. But there are no shortage of number one Hip Hop albums.

Not at all. Nobody in POP GAF reps those fools (except Enrique), but we can't deny their inclusion in our genre for the sake of an argument. POP GAF has, over the course of the thread, routinely pointed out rappers that break your already-shoddy arguments, and have been met with "Well, we don't like them so they don't count."
