Yes I've tried Craigslist and a few other listing places. Money is not really an issue and at this point I'm not sure much is other than finding a place from 5/15-8/15 roughly. I'd need it furnished (desk + bed really is all) and w/ Internet (though most places for rent for a short span like this seem to have both). I'm working downtown and at first was looking for a place somewhat nearby but basically as long as it's not more than ~45 mins. drive that's fine. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Check out Los Feliz, Silverlake or even some downtown lofts, they're revamping downtown LA and have some snazzy looking lofts there.

Yeah that's exactly where I've been looking, for some reason there's been TONS of stuff in West LA but very little near downtown (or even in Hollywood) where I've looked. I haven't really checked out Los Feliz yet though. I've mostly been looking on craigslist, but do you know of any other good places to look?

oh. ok then.

you're a couple months late buddy as i had a room for rent that would have fit your style. only catch would have been it is filled with madden '93-2005 furnishings, including pat summeral bed sheets and terrell davis lamp shades. sadly the room is taken now though :(

but honestly you are on the right path w/ craigslist. that is where we found our roommate and im sure something will pop up soon just keep checking

p.s. i dont know where you're working (downtown LA?) but if you want to look in specific areas try sherman oaks/studio city. the prices maybe a bit higher, but the drive isn't TOO bad into downtown LA (10-30 minutes all depending on time of day for traffic)
