I think the Callisto Protocol is the fastest I’ve ever changed my mind on a game

He mentions neogaf as a place for enthusiasts and I feel like that's a dated view of the website. In the same way sociopolitical viewpoints taint discussion on the other site, it does here as well. People are more enthusiastic about all that garbage than video games.
Let me put it this way, in a non-enthusiast forum you are not gonna find a post like mine where i lost 10 fucking minutes to research 4 good pics for a comparison between 2 games, casual don't do that...so even if we "hate" on something, we do that in an enthusiast\hardcore way:lollipop_grinning_sweat:

This is what make the forum an enthusiast forum, people overthinking about videogames, enough to lose 10 min to prove a point, you don't overthink about things you hate, at least not me...

Having something negative to say about a trailer doesn't make the forum any less enthusiast, the opposite since a casual would not even notice the flaws that an enthusiast player catch after a single look.

Aside Sony, I thought it was just EA, Take 2, Ubisoft, Activision and possibly some other big players.

Elden Ring - $60
Stranger of Paradise - $60
Soul Hackers 2 - $60
Sonic Frontiers - $60

Certainly not a universal price point.
Excuse me, it's the new standard for games that are AAA and only "next-gen". Games that are previous gen are still $59.99. In the end it's another reason why I'm primarily buying on PC, it's always cheaper. 🤷‍♂️

Saying that it looks less than stellar compared to the previous trailers is hating??

I was one of the first to "hate" in this topic and the game is still a locked AF day one for me...

People need to start understanding that this is an enthusiast gaming forum and people are gonna fucking talk about trailers...if not we can close the forum until the game is out...

Was people hating when they were jerking their dicks off for the past 2-3 trailers?
"Hate" is a strong word, sure, negative would be more applicable. I think the game does look too similar to Dead Space IMO, but I fucking loved DS so I'm sure I would like this game as well.

Well, when people see something negative about a super hyped game, they are gonna speak of...

Again this is why we are in a forum.
Of course, I just don't understand where the negativity comes from. Was it the best snippet of gameplay to show off? Maybe not, but my interest in this game has not waned.

I never played a Dead Space but I think I have them all for free here or there. Not sure if I should start with Dead Space 1, Dead Space Remake or give this game a go.

Some people specified what they didn't liked.

The game still looks good of course.

Yep, game was all hype and looked like b-tier trash the moment they showed the gameplay. The publishers did a fantastic job at marketing it. I don't trust game journos but if those idiots who hand out perfect score like candies didn't get suckered by a AAA blockbuster, you know there's something wrong.

The game never looked good to me. I said it in the other thread but the gameplay in Dead Space is also pretty awful. That said, the atmosphere, enemies, environments, and level design probably make this game worth a playthrough for the horror aficionados.
