Its like their shoving their way into LA

Note to Owner of the Angles.

WE DONT WANT YOU HERE! I hope that this is overturned and you have to keep your shitty baseball team over in Anaheim.

The Angels drew 3,375,677 last season, the third-highest total in baseball behind the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers.

I think that pretty much closes the issue.

This would be like saying "Reno, Nevada presented by California" anyway.

Makes more sense in light of this. Hey, whatever sells more tickets.
When the franchise began in 1961, owned by singing cowboy Gene Autry, it was the Los Angeles Angels.
I mean, the team IS named after the city after all.

That's because the team, at that point, was in Los Angeles. Then it moved to Anaheim.

The name doesn't make a lick of sense, no matter how you twist it. It's hilarious.

How about the Los Angeles Rams of St. Louis?
Shit, why not!

The Winnipeg Coyotes of Pheonix
The Quebec City Avalance of Colorado

etc

It sorta makes sence since every season the amount of wannabe fans on both sides is hilariouse. Ever seen a Dodger "fan" wearing a blue jersey and red cap? I have.

Sure it does. Geographical location of a stadium often doesn't have much to do with the city a team represents these days.

If anything, they should just drop the "of Anaheim." How many teams have stadiums outside the bounds of the cities they represent? It's no big deal.

For instance, the Landover Maryland Redskins, the Meadowlands, New Jersey Giants, etc.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

"California Angels" or "OC Angels" or "A Better Team To Root For Than The Dodgers" all are better names than that. Sheesh.

Its amazing how we can get 2 Baseball teams in LA, 2 Basketball teams in LA, and not 1 football team.

You're forgetting the aforementioned Rams and, of course, the Los Angeles Raiders of Oakland.

Look, you just twisted it! Like I said, still doesn't make any sense.

What? It's the truth. Thought I'd explain why 'This has already been posted' shouldn't apply.

Fuck you.

No, fuck you. And, fuck baseball.

I jest. I'm still angry from the walkout back in the early 1990s. After then, I didn't give a shit about baseball.

Ok ill rephrase. WE cant get any NFL team to STAY in LA. Sure people still think the Raiders are LA's team, but i dont think Al Davis is thinking of coming back over here anytime soon. I dont care if a team moves here or we get an expansion. With the Lakers falling into another mediocre team we need somthing new to root for. And USC does not count..

Psh, if the Raiders are anything, they're the Oakland Raiders of Los Angeles of Oakland. Don't forget they've spent like 3/4's of their existance in Oakland.

Fucking shit.

I'd better get that Angels hat I've been wanting before they sell out and are replaced with a logo that says "LAAOA."

Soccer just called and said "kiss my diving, yellow-carded ass".

They really should have gone with the OC Angles if they were goin for a change.

The Angel crowd is sooo OC and im sure wont want to associate with the inner city appeal of the Dodgers. (rolls eyes)

They should go ESPN style with the name

The Los Angeles The City Angels The Team of Anahiem The Other City

or TLATCATOATOC for short.

"That's right! With a multi-million dollar investment in a major sports team, you too can come up with gramatically flawed, illogical official names that everyone has to use cuz you're rich, dammit!"

The Baltimore Ravens of Cleveland Which Art Modell Can't Go Back To Cuz If He Did He Would Be Beat To Death With His Own Arm

You know that I think about it, it would be bad ass if they brought back the old school LA Angeles hat with the halo on top of the cap.
