I had heard a lot of good word of mouth about this movie. I was disappointed, the satire -- if you can call it that -- was way too on the nose and, ironically, appears to be targeted at midwits

Somewhere between this movie and Demolition Man, lies the perfect social commentary/prediction/parody movie with a fun popcorn plot.

I think both have their moments where they are devastatingly close to true about society and where we could be headed (or already are), but both also have moments where they fall flat or go a bit overboard with beating a point over your head.

And oddly enough, both are kind of encouraging/motivational to the point of "use your freedoms, opportunities, and knowledge to your advantage and be the best you" through a negative reinforcement of "...because if you don't, this is what will happen".
