If You could live anywhere else, where would it be?

Still Netherlands or Scandinavia, maybe Switzerland. Enjoying some snow right now, could live like this forever. Dog disapproves tho.

noice politics, mate

'For our research, we first looked at where the claim about Magufuli originated. In televised remarks on May 3, the president said he was placing an order for an herbal tonic drink developed in Madagascar and touted as a cure for COVID-19 — despite the fact that there were no proven scientific remedies for the disease at the time of this writing. Rather, scientists and public health officials said the best way to stay healthy during the pandemic was to avoid exposure to the virus.'

Don't hate, appreciate!

Back home probably, I'd love to one day move back to Norway, probably Svolvær. If my fiance's working situation ever allows for it I think we definitely would. Everything just sort of works in Norway, very stress free, safe, and with amazing nature. By contrast having lived in Ireland and now Romania, it's like going back 100 years in time. (Yes even Ireland).

Living in the Netherlands and I'm happy with it. I love the country.
If I had to choose another place, it would be Switzerland. Lived there for three years and I wouldn't mind going back.

Probably Canada. Never been but the vast open spaces, forests and mountains really appeal. Also the cities look cool. Maybe that's a romantic naive opinion but it looks like an interesting place from where I'm sitting (UK).

Maybe Norway.

I hate Greece's constant summer and hot weather with a tiny bit of winter for a couple of months. I prefer snow, cold and cozy fireplaces.
Constant summer and hot weather sounds like paradise to me. For me the dream when I was younger was Japan. I did visit for nearly 2 weeks and loved it there plus I had already lived in Okinawa when I was younger and already loved it there as well. Besides that place South Korea as a 2nd Japan like place. I've been watching those travel videos this year so Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam are a great as well. I'm going to try and get in to Thailand this year and stay there for awhile until the money runs out probably. Thailand was my poor man's Asia pick.

I love my home in Switzerland, maybe I would go back to Japan, lived there for 2 years near Kyoto.

I somehow would love to live in a small town in the Pacific Northwest or in Maine but maybe reality would be not as good as my fantasy.

I would like to work and travel Europe, and other ancient places with ancient sites. Spend time in each area and explore a lot of cool stuff. Probably Start in England, than to France, and Belgium. Go to the eastern block countries, then down to Spain and Italy. Through the Balkans again and Greece over through Turkey and down into Israel, then Egypt.

I think that would be ideal for me.

Definitely. It isn't the transportation that is an issue, it is my job and my family that keep me here. I have work that has to be done in certain locations.

Hey, something for the future dude! ;)

Europe is awesome you'll love it.

I have been multiple times and I was born there.

In reality I just wish I had Rick Steves job.

No idea who that is but born here myself and have seen many places.

I was very jealous of my buddy doing the train thing.

There is nothing like visiting another country for the first time.

First time I went to Hungary my eye was busted and full of blood (someone smashed me with a glass bottle)

Was fine though, even went back. Great city.

He does a travel show in the US about Europe. Rick Steves Europe: Tours, Travel, TV & Vacations

I have never gotten in a fight or been attacked in any of my travels. I did a Balkans tour for 18 days with my dad and brother a few years ago...it was great. I have been to Turkey, Israel, Germany, Spain.

I want to go to London and visit the museums.

Oh I was attacked at home before the flight (long story, was Ireland).

Love travel stuff though, will definitely check it out. Cheers!

My go-to bugout plan for when the US finally boils over would be to liquidate every asset and move to Uruguay. :messenger_heart:

for those who picked Japan, just keep in mind that the country is still at large somewhat xenophobic, especially in the countryside with older generations. chances are even if you're able to live there, you won't ever truly be a real part of them. plus a lot of their stuff are not really design for westerners in terms of size, so there's that too.
I'm okay with that.

To be honest... at the moment... I wouldn't mind living back in my homecountry, but out in the forests (preferably not the ones that catch fire every year), in a great house... but there aren't really any jobs in my home country for me to afford that great house on. ah well.
