If you were stranded on an empty island, what album would you take with you?

Perfect Circle - 13th Step. Yeah, I'm sure alot of people would say that, but I CAN'T get tired of this CD, and believe me, I've tried. It seems to have permanent residence in my car's CD player. Too bad their new album is something of a dissapointment.

Just one? That's way too tough. I'll give it a go though and say...

Explosions in the Sky - The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place

I hate Pink Floyd. Bob Dylan's discography is shoddy.

I'd take Bjork over both of them any day of the week. Her music is far, far more interesting, and aurally pleasing.

Phil Collins, "Serious Hits: Live".

Other than that, I guess Coldplay's "A Rush of Blood to the Head", though it'd be below Phil Collins, because CP's album doesn't have a single "upbeat/happy" song on it-- as awesome as CP is, I think I'd sometimes need a change from the slightly melancholy sound they have, lest I commit suicide instead of attempting to procure food. :P

I really couldn't choose just one. Maybe:

?

JP version = 6 or 7 extra songs. :)

As for my pick, probably Dave Brubeck Quartet's "Take Five" if I didn't take Bjork's sugarcandykisses.

I would take Zaireeka by the Flaming Lips for two reasons.

1. It is technically an album, made up of four disks played simultaneously. Each listen is different, and you can make changes yourself based on when you start certain songs.

2. Assuming we are given a cd player to play the album, I would require four of them. So, since I'm on a desert island, I would need to survive and leave sometime. If I were to find any use for the cd players and cd's to aid in surviving, I automatically have 3 more, increasing my chances for survival and such.
