No, its because for whatever and however far Em has fallen, he is still recognized as one of the dopest lyricist to make it to mainstream hip hop. She absolutely has not earned putting herself besides him as if its the same thing.

exactly my thoughts. I don't listen to Iggy so i am not against or with her but it's funny how people bury her for making racist and homophobic remarks when a large majority of rappers makes remarks like those within their lyrics.

Iggy hasn't had ET saying that women calling themselves bitches is horrible. She definitely hasn't had mainstream media telling her to be a responsible role model for the white community. She hasn't had mainstream media say that shaking her ass is degrading and she should be ashamed and that she's embarrassing women then in the next segment go on location for the Sports Illustrated bikini model issue and then cover the Victoria's Secret Show then Miss America/Universe pageants.

Iggy is being ridiculed by hip-hop fans and some closet racists for being wack as fuck. Nicki gets ridiculed by entire industries (and closet racists) for embracing and expressing her sexuality.
While in reverse, hip-hop fans and the hip-hop community like Nicki and Iggy gets ridiculed by them. I mean there is a reason that Nicki gets called for collabos with male artists ALL the time and why nobody from the industry is calling on Iggy. Hell even in the pop genre people call on Nicki way more than they call on Iggy. Your favorite female popstar has probably done a song with Nicki. That same popstar has probably never heard of Iggy.

She's partially right. Iggy is just the logical result of industry preferential treatment; same preference that allows for Em to have more grammies than Nas, Jay and Outkast combined. People don't say anything about Em because he's actually incredible (and they're scared), though.

Anyone that gets mad at her are doing so on the basis of her relative wackness and utter disrespect of the artform and culture she is profiting from.

He's technically a great rapper...or at least, he was. As others have said, Em put the work in and is OF the culture; he lives and breaths hip hop, always has always will. He's not some scrub who started rapping a couple years ago, tried to become a pop singer, tried modeling, etc before deciding to become a shitty rapper. She clearly doesn't know shit about rap, can't freestyle to save her life, is horrible live, and overall just seems fake as fuck. She's trash, brehs. And if you disagree you lost.

As others have said, Eminem is a good artist, Iggy is not. However I do feel a bit bad for her. For ever valid piece of criticism lobbied at her there's about three which have nothing to do with her music/appropriation and are just mean spirit attacks on her character.
