Feel like we have a lot of this though. For two consoles releasing in less than month the only game that remotely screams "next gen" is KZ. 1 game is all for 2 new systems launching 8 years after the 360 hit, and they still cost $400 or $500 respectively.
I also feel so bad for typing that like I'm in full on hater mode.

The lighting is what's hurting the XB1 mp most here. Total lack of ambient occlusion as far as I can see, gives that kind of 'older game' look.
Seems to be some missing camera effects too.
I'm on a mobile at the moment though so will wait until I can view on a larger screen...but those things pop out immediately.

That has to be a mislabeled 360 version in the MP, right? It didn't even look like the same game as on the right. Complete lack of AO makes it look like COD4.

Were you watching the IGN videos at 320p from 10 feet away from your computer? I don't see how you can't see a difference in the MP.
Single player, sure I can see how people who aren't sensitive to aliasing wouldn't mind the XB1 too much, but the multiplayer? Come on dude.

Did a blind comparison on the multiplayer. PS4 looked better, but I had to really look for it. Definitely the further out you looked, you could see the jaggies. I was actually surprised, it was closer than the other thread made it look

i remember when i wasn't allowed to post screencaps from almost-but-not-quite-uncompressed gamersyde footage of infamous because the amount of artitfacting which comes from anything but pixel perfect direct feeds rendered it null and void.
just want to establish some ground rules here. if this is what qualifies for a rout, PC guys are going to have a lot of fun with comparison threads in the future.

I don't think it's fair to use images to compare the games unless they're taken from a capture card. Are we really comparing a screenshot of the Xbox One version from a Youtube video vs an image that Jackfrags took with his capture card?

There's no fucking way that you are going to tell me that the IGN quality isn't substantially worse than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc4i8hARuGE on 1080P setting.
Of course Gamersyde is our best option. I'm just saying that the IGN footage looks compressed as hell and it's basically useless. At least having something on YouTube would show differences better.

The major difference between current gen BF4 and next gen BF4 is:
* Higher framerate (mostly 60 vs more or less 30)
* Higher resolution
* Finer details
All these things are things that are very easily lost in youtube (or similar) footage. The framerate will be chopped in half, and the increased resolution and finer details will be smudged by compression.
If you have a 1080p monitor, turn on 1080p on any of the videos then go fullscreen. That's not how 1080p looks.
I like the effort but comparisons are almost pointless with the formats these sites are using.

Considering how the DF BF4 thread turned out and then, low and behold, look at the huge difference that actually exists as we compare two screen shots from separate sources, no I'm not kidding.
Edit: There's nothing wrong in demanding a fair comparison if a comparison is going to be made.

You can't really take Ign's multiplayer footage for the Xbox one and Ps4 seriously, because the Ps4's multiplayer footage looks much better in the jackfrag guy's videos, than Ign's. By a lot btw...
