This was announced back in September, but now we finally have some pictures from the range.

According to messages posted on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Ikea and ASUS will make a public announcement of the first piece of furniture on January 29th. However, it appears that the Ikea China store has already listed all products, which were then quickly removed.

Ikea is launching various products after collaborating with ASUS. The UPSSPEL gaming desk will retail at 3999 Yuans (617 USD). There is also a special ROG-themed pegboard with the ASUS ROG logo and red LED lighting. According to the pictures, there is even a small moving cupboard that will have ROG themed handles.

More stuff at source.

Personally, i think it looks kinda dull. Way to much grey for my taste and expensive as hell. That rug looks cool though ngl.

I like the desk and oddly enough the contraption that holds your mouse wire could be useful.

LOL, that hanging wall is a fucking awesome idea, i got from a user in the gaming setup thread and i bet the new game specific ones will be a "bit" more pricey.

And both headset solutions look really inconvenient.

LMAO at the "Gamer shelf" full of neet cup noodles. This whole thing is an insult. A cup holder for a cup that latches on to your desk (some would say a fine place to sit down a drink). The only thing I like on there is the motorized standing desk but that's hardly a new/awesome product. Gamer corkboard for hanging my keyboard and screwdrivers. Rad.

WTF is this supposed to be? Some kind of discrete masturbation pillow for gamers playing sexy PC mods of Nier Automata/Resident Evil?

No freaking idea, but its not the only pillow they are making either. (The chair isn't part of the line)

Has anyone here used these ikea standing desks? My office had them (not from ikea) and I've been missing them with all this working from home. I don't think I would go for the "gamer" version in any case.

Great what every gamer needed nowdays. Not availability of GPUs and Consoles but overpriced furniture that have a "gaming" sticker

Most of this stuff seems like it is just regurgitated standard offering from them painted black. Nothing seems unique or proprietary to this new partnership outside of the colour scheme.

I like the cup holder, that's the only thing I could see myself buying though.

I wish it wasn't all black. Why can't we have some simple, non garish gaming gear? There's a huge portion of the gaming market that is over the age of 18.

That headphone stand is neat, and that lamp seems excellent for video meetings.

"Gamer furniture" usually is pretty cringy, but this series seems very allright. At least it's inoffensive in its design.

The new gaming range will target PC gamers and include six product families: UPPSPEL, LÅNESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UTESPELARE, HUVUDSPELARE.

All UPPSPEL products have been designed by IKEA and ROG in close collaboration.
The rest of the series have been developed by IKEA based on the insights and knowledge gained from the collaboration to ensure the width of the total gaming offer and to meet the various needs of gamers in terms of function, design and price.

"We know a lot about gamer needs, pain points and expectations, and we want to design solutions for ultimate, immersive gaming experiences." – says Johnny Chan, Asus Republic of Gamers designer.

In total, the new gaming range includes more than 30 products, covering both furniture – gaming desks and chairs, a drawer unit – and accessories – a mug holder, a mouse bungee, a neck pillow, a ring light and many more. The new range offers gaming desks and chairs of different price range to meet the needs of different target groups.

"We want our products to offer better ergonomics and functions so that gamers can become even better at what they do without wearing out their bodies – become better athletes, basically." – says Jon Karlsson, IKEA designer.

This has existed for garages for decades.
All they did was put a nice coat of paint on it.

You don't say...
I meant the specific idea of using it for gaming stuff, i got from another Gaffer way before Ikea. Plus, when writing it, I had my own periphery wall hanging for a while.

Not really but this is legit where I will go if I ever need gaming-specific furniture. Which I think is a pretty funny waste of money.

EDIT: To be honest I kinda like that wall unit that you can hang things off, but i do not forsee a moment wherein i can drill holls in any walls so like yeah not particularly useful for me at the moment.
