It wont screw your ranking. You can reach full hero or full evil without doing all the sidequests. The healing/life leech help a lot in that. Plus some missions give you karma ratings based on how you behave in the mission, not just the good/bad choice moments. There were many times I ultimately got bad karma in a mission because I accidentally killed a bystander while killing bad guys.

As to stunts, I would look up a guide and make sure you do them. Some are easy to do on certain missions, so you might as well before you get too far in.

Sounds like the good is going to be harder to do while going through. I may replay it on hard to get my trophy and do the good side by then but it looks like I should have done the good first then move to evil on hard mode.

I reached inFamous rank last night actually. I rescued Zeke in the shipping containers and when I finished I was super close and then just so happened to leech someone and I noticed how far it when up so I just leeched another like 10-15 pedestrians and I got my trophy for reaching full inFamous. I guess the only other pure evil trophy is to beat the game while I'm inFamous.

I will look up a guide for the stunts. They are kind of easy to do but some are a little tough. The hardest part is not knowing what they are so a guide will show me. I really and seriously can't stop playing this game. I haven't had this much pure fun with a game in I don't know how long.

I'm on my second playthrough now. Did good first, and now doing bad. With all the evil side missions involving
Sasha, I just can't help but think that it's a little underused. Why not team up w/ her if you really do go evil or are they perhaps holding this for the sequel? I haven't heard all the dead drops so I might not have the full story...but it just seems weird that she always talks to Cole and he so WILLINGLY does what she wants on the evil arc.

It would really, really help if they did a GTA-style rundown on the pause menu of every counted thing you do for a trophy. I'm currently stalling on doing the last mission so I can run around hurting citizens and then saving them so I can get the Dr. Cole trophy, and I have no idea if I'm close or far from unlocking it.

Yeah, I just got my Bio-Leech trophy last night and it seemed like it took forever. Wish there was a counter. Oh, and BTW... Fuck those

Youtube helped me on the stunts. Especially after I'd beaten the game, some of the stunts are harder to get just cause there are fewer enemies. Right back atcha for example.... oh man, RAGE trying to get that one!

I was trying to get this, then read the description, enemies? So I cannot punch civilian and leech them?

Killing Kessler and Sasha still egging you on, I'm convince we'll see her in the sequel.

I hope we do, I found her character really interesting particularly because of some of the stuff mentioned about her and
Kessler
in the dead drops. I was disappointed that I hadn't seens her again by the end of the game but it almost makes the world feel more consistent if there's the possibility of her and maybe even
Alden
returning as opposed to just introducing a completely new lineup of characters.

I was never able to pull off the "throw 3 people off a building" stunt even with youtube. :/

You really have to do that one early on when there are still a lot of enemies on the roofs. I did it on the mission where you first have to collect dead drops. There are quite a lot of enemies on top of the last building, if you can draw them round to one side then pop up and blast them off you should be able to do it.

Yep. Early on when they are easy and scared of you.

Also is that a Sly Cooper version of the Critter Crunch critter?

You can still run around Empire City in the Aftermath of the final battle...

I downloaded the Gigawatt Blades from the UK PSN store last week - do you need to begin a new game to have them appear in your power menu?

That was one of the easiest stunts for me. I only had a problem with "right back at ya" stunt with the grenade launcher guys. I did it on the junk tower before getting to
Alden
. Took ages to pull it off successfully, that bloody grenade launcher guy would either get too close and die from shockwaves or just jump/slip off the junk tower thing and die. :p

100% blast shard trophy should be GOLD!!! It's so hard to get, harder than HARD difficulty.

Does anyone know the percent break down for the different aspects of the game? I only have the last mission left, have 341 blast shards, 83/84 side quests, all the dead drops, all good powers maxed out and 12/21 stunts and am only at 74% completion. I dont get how finishing the little things I have left would put me at 100% unless it's like GTA where they dont count side quests and shards and whatnot towards the percentage until you are done with all of them.

I had a problem like this when I used the preorder code to get them at launch, it should appear in your power upgrade menu on the very far right. It didn't show up at first for me, though. I went back to my download history in the PSN store and downloaded it again, it showed up in my menu after that

I think its just story mode percentage, not whole game.

Finally finished it. Awesome game, but it really didn't use all of its features to its full potential. The final boss fight should have forced you to use more abilities rather than dodge, shoot, dodge, shoot.

With such superb platforming elements scatterred throughout the city I expected an epic battle involving showdowns spread throughout the whole city with
Kessler
fleeing to different areas involving you chasing him down.

But still an amazingly fun game. Hopefully Suckerpunch can realize the true potential of the beast they created in the sequel.

And also, being evil didn't really make sense. The side missions and story missions were all things you'd only do as a hero rather than a villain.

I think inFamous 2 will be the real inFamous 1 they wanted to make but ran out of time. While it is super fun, the game does get repetitive. What is that? You mean there is *another* evil bus on the rampage? Get out of here!!

I can't do all my stunts because I'm too far into the game. So I'll just start another good play through and do them all super early now that I know about them and how to do them.

I just finished the game on evil hard and now need to go through and find the rest of the blast shards, ride the rails and start a new game to do stunts...

Those stunts really annoy me. It basically becomes impossible to do them, and you basically have to resort to a guide to even know what they are.

I liked the evil secondary missions a lot, though. It was way more fun playing with the awesome reaper conduits on my side, than playing the good side missions. Although, it also didn't make much sense that the reapers would still attack me outside of those missions. It was also a lot nicer in that Trish actually had good reasons to hate you, rather than just her being an idiot.

Final boss took me forever to beat. It was really annoying. But the ending totally caught me off guard and got me excited for a sequel.

Never bothered with shards. You guys are insane!

Fuck the shards, they were the only thing standing between me and what would have been my first platinum but I got stuck with 3 lefu and I could not find them no matter how much I searched. I'm almost @ trophy lvl 10 but I'm still a platinum virgin. :(

If you really feel dedicated just download a map of the island and revisit all the spots. It's a pain in the ass, but it'll only take an hour or two, why get all the way there to stop?

Yeah..I tried that but it was long after I collected most of the shards so it didn't help much. I sold the game last fall so all hope is lost at this point.

Thanks for the good luck lol. It happened to be at a very common spot in the Neon Disctrict (not one of those tough areas). I couldnt believe i missed it. This platinum was long long overdue (was close before i had to send in my PS3 for repair). Great game too. I found myself fooling around and forgetting to look for the shard lol.

So I'm near the end of the game at the
balloons
but I have one power left to get and it's like 5k exp and there isn't really anything left for me to do. I can't do stunts cause there is no one left in the city to perform them on and was just going to do that for my next playthrough on good. Will I get my exp required? I would hate to miss out on my trophy.

From all the possible sequels that may or may not get released this or next year, this is probably the one i'm most looking forward to.

I occasionally boot up this game and i always come to the conclusion that this game/IP has so much potential. They nailed the controls almost perfectly (they probably should adopt the dropdown mechanism from AC2 though). The flying mechanic is fun and so is traversing the city on powerlines and such. The fact that you can shoot and aim from anywhere in the game world, is great.

There was a rumor that they were going to use another voice actor for Cole but i think this one was actually great once you get used to.

Sucker Punch seem to be hiring quite a few people lately. According to one job ad, they are working on a game that "will be the best they have ever made". I hope it's infamous 2.

Did you do all th side quests as well? Also, if possible, switch to a lower difficultly setting as you will get more xp (for example: a conduit that awards you 50xp per kill on normal difficulty would be 30xp on Hard, and 75xp on easy.)

I'm already gonna be on media blackout for Infamous 2. i don't want to see
The nemesis reveal and entrance
until I have the game directly in my hands

Yeah, I have zero side missions left. No yellow markers only the blue marker for the one I stated. I'll put it on easy but I'm like 4,000 away and I feel like it may take me forever.

How am I going to know it's the last mission? The point of no return that I either have to get the rest of my EXP or I'm F'd?

If I remember correctly, I don't think there is a point of no return. Plus you can keep playing after beating the last boss. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You can definitely continue playing after you beat the game. You can continue to wrap up any additional sidequests, free the remaining neighborhoods, and continue hunting down blast shards.

I don't know that you can walk away from the final fight once you initiate it, but it's EXTREMELY obvious that you're heading for the final battle once you get to that point. So I wouldn't say that the game ambushes you with a surprise point of no return, exactly.

Even the dialogue says "there is no turning back" or something to that effect. So no fear there.

But you can do all the side stuff afterwards. There are just fewer bad guys if you have cleaned out everything.

The first time I played this I finished with the good ending... I know I could have saved it and reloaded and made a decision just to see the bad ending, but in a rarity for me I started the game over and played it all the way through evil style... and I'm glad I did, there's some slight dialogue changes that really fit the going evil bit.

Very much enjoyed both playthrough's and REALLY hope this game gets a sequel.

Like I said earlier, there is not a single yellow marker left. Only a single blue one. But it's good to know it will be obvious and that I can return to the game. I got half the EXP I needed from the
chopper mission
so if I get EXP for the next mission I should be fine. I feel I'm super close.

I keep trying to get into this game but can't. And I love open world games. Someone motivate me to continue playing (I just beat that part where you go through the dark sewers and restart the power). :(

it gets so much better from there. also, the hover power completely changes the dynamic. fight on!

You do that several times, different sewers. Every time you do it, you gain a new power. So you must be close to the beginning.

I would stick with it at least through the first island then decide what you want to do. By then you will have several powers and should have a good grip in the gameplay mechanics. Also if you started on hard, or on evil, try an easier difficulty, or good, to make sure.

So, it is possible to have a 100% game?. I played both playthroughs (evil and good) collecting and doing EVERYTHING on both.

Still 92% on my evil one. =(
