inFAMOUS - The oFFicial Thread

I'm doing all the side missions right away in my Good play through. I was never planning to make my good play through perfect anyways. I want to make my evil play through perfect :D

This is the most fun I have had in a long time.
Though you could point out some graphical issues the game really looks amazing when your unleashing hell all over the place. I just did the mission down in the
sewers
and damn that looked cool.

The courier missions seem to get some flak but I love them, I feel like a superhuman stealth badass up there lurking on the buildings. I always assassinate the courier after I take his stash. I want a whole game that feels like this, a supernatural ninja watching from the sky, swooping down to take a life when the time is right.

I'm playing good all the way :D My second playthough will be evil!

That's what I'm doing.
I'm just now starting my evil runthrough :)
On Easy this time, though, since I already got the trophy for Hard.. and man were there some frustratingly hard parts :lol
It feels so different bio leeching everyone instead of saving lives now.

Man does time fly when I'm playing this game!
It's so great :D

Yeah I sort of like them. You're this badass dude who's stalking someone on the rooftops, only he has no clue. I enjoy them.

And I think I'm going to continue playing the way I am, and on my 2nd time through as a good guy that can be my 'perfect' run or w/e.

Just finished the final story mission on The Warren
Alden's Rampage
. HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!!! That boss fight was awesome and the story is taking some interesting twists. I can't wait to finish this up.

Oh and question for people who have already beat the game:

Who is Sasha? I know Cole mentioned something about knowing her before, and that she was always crazy, even before getting her powers. But who exactly is she?

Man I hate the way you have to peel the code! I accidentally ripped mine! = ( No blades for me. I'm planning on going to Gamestop and maybe talking to them about it. See if they have any solutions! Game has been fantastic otherwise. :D

:lol I did that the first time I got one of those too.
You don't peel it, you're supposed to scratch it off with a penny or something :lol
But even that didn't work too well for me, as I could barely read the code after scratching. It got all smeared.

Wish there was a replay option in the game, where you could play the game from the beginning with all your powers. Just turn off trophies when activated.

This game keeps getting better and better as it goes along. Just reached the third island.

The fights get way more intense, the platforming gets more interesting, and the missions get more epic.

InFAMOUS 2 SUCKER PUNCH! You know what you need to work on next....

I would recommend it, the more I use them the more I love them:D a lot of people seem kinda down on them, but the slow-mo kill you get when you one shot someone with them never gets old to me.

This thread severely lacks any talk about the voice of survival.

He called me a terrorist. Fuck him.

I wish I could have met him in person in the game so I could show him what a terrorist does. Maybe in my evil playthrough that options will open up? Wasnt there in the good one.

I doubt it. I haven't finished my evil runthrough yet, but..
He gets shot while broadcasting, I don't think it will change just because of being evil..
I could be wrong though..
But HELL YEAH I wanna beat the shit out of that guy.

Oh man just did the mission where you
have to ward off the attackers at the prision that are trying to take Alden back.
EPIC, prob the best mission i've ever done in these type pf games. I'm loving every second of this game.

They keep upping the intensity.

Ugh, I can't stand that guy. Why does he hate me? I'm a goody two-shoes. :(

I'm really loving this game so far, save for some minor frustration when shard collecting. I just finished up the Warren and wow, the story just took an interesting twist... can't say I'm very surprised though. I wish we had gotten a good/evil decision at the top of the junk tower.:D

And wow, the difficulty really ramps up in the final district. Those dudes are eeeeverywhere.

Yeah that mission was a ton of fun. They really do keep getting better and better.

Oh, does anybody know if you still get the trophy for completing the game on hard if you started the game on medium but got auto-bumped up to hard? That would be a bummer if you don't.

I am pretty sure you do, as long as you don't mess with it again.

These sewer levels have to be some of the best levels ever in a platformer(besides the generic setting). I love how the aesthetic of the levels changes based on your alignment, the sewers will be dark and dreary with a red overtone if you are evil, and blue and crisp if you are good. So cool(to me anyway).

OK, how the hell am I supposed to do the stunt where you have to melee an enemy while he's airborn? I do the shockwave while his ass is facing a wall, but he keep landing all over the place!

GREAT FUCKING GAME! The shardhunt turned me into a collector-whore

Yeah, I can't get this one either. I went through the whole game without doing it successfully :(

Day-um. Didn't put this down that much tonight. Leveled up my dude quite a bit and damn it feels good to be a gangster.

Just finished up dinner with sasha and lit the first part of the second island.

I'm guessing about half way through the main story?

The way I did it was just by getting an enemy near the edge of a rooftop and then basically punching him two consecutive times. The first punch will should knock him of the building and the second should hit him while he'd in midair.

Btw this has to be one of the most addicting games I've ever played. I just got finished with another 6 hour long non-stop session. Ugh. So much fun though.:D

Man I wish they would've made it so you can rename your save files..
It's kinda weird not being able to distinguish which are my Good files and which are my Evil files.. but oh well.

Just to add to this, you CAN distinguish.

Highlight the save file. It should say:

- Chapter name and number
- Reputation (Hero, Champion, Thug, Infamous... you get the drill)
- Completion %
- Powers and Upgrades
- Districts
- Dead Drops
- Blast Shards
- Stunts

Infact, this is the MOST detailed save file I've ever seen in a game.

That's my only knock against the game. why hell is it in the save file and no in the options menu?

Oh... guess I should've looked into that a little more. T_T
Never mind! This game is POIFECT! :D

I didn't realize the game is so addictive, time just flies by and now I have to go to bed.

Just climbed the tower of the second island. It was so high when you look down. It was awesome :D

Don't read this if you don't want to be spoiled.
WHY ZEEK! WHY!!!
Just reached the 3rd island.

Loved the first boss battle, really cool implementation of controls. I'm on the 2nd island and I'm trying to convince myself that having no sleep prior to work tomorrow will be okay. :lol

Gonna try this tonight.

God, Sucker Punch has turned me into a trophywhore. I feel so dirty.

To balance out all the graphical complaints :p, does anyone else think the textures in this game are fantastic? I'm surprised at how good most of them are for a game of this scale.

The main story missions are fuck-awesome, and one mission I found pretty cool in its own original way was the
Spy Drones
mission, eventhough it didn't have any awesome set piece. Loved how you had to hunt down them. :D

So I need some help w this game. I cant get the last 3 or 4 territories to trigger in the historic district. They form a U shape and are right where you start the game w the explosion. There are no bad guys to kill and no yellow side mission flags pop up. Ive tried doing a few missions in hopes that they need an event to trigger, but I think Im at last mission. Any idea how to trigger them so that I can get the trophy for the district?

I did it to those
little robot things
on the second island. I think I caught one on a lunge.

Are the side missions available after you beat the game? I usually don't play any games during E3 week. So, I'd like to beat the game before next week.

Man, what a fantastic game. I really had to adjust to the aiming though, seemed rather clunky and slow at the beginning, but now I'm shocking bitches in mid-air.

I like the graphical upgrades you get when you upgrade powers, makes you feel even more like a bad-ass. I also really like the different side missions, and the not really main quest events that happen. During the mission
where you first encounter the trash crab things
I got stopped by the guy making the posters of Cole. I REALLY hope that Sucker Punch sells prints of those posters because they were BAD ASS.

The one thing this game is missing is a statistics screen like in GTAIV and SR2. Those listed just about every action possible and stats for everything - inFamous only has a handful of stats and it's buried away in the save menu.

Things like being able to see how many pedestrians you've healed would be nice to know considering there's a trophy for it. Hopefully they can add a whole bunch of stats like that to the pause menu in a patch.

Played for a few hours last night finishing up the side missions in the Neon District. Man, I love this game. I'm playing good but in addition to my campaign, I'm going to start a new game this weekend and play bad so when my friends come over to play they won't mess up my karma.

Does anyone know if the distance and kw leeching trophies carry over through separate playthroughs? If not, do you get them just playing normally or do you have to go out of your way for the ride the rails and drain the city trophies?

This game is like crack! Crack I tell you.

It's not possible to fail a mission like in GTA so there is never a point where you feel like you just want to take a break from the game. It's constantly like, let me do 1 more mission get 1 more shard, unlock one more skill... it is addicting.
