inFAMOUS - The oFFicial Thread

not really, you can find cover to your side and when the enemy stop shooting for a moment you have to go out and shoot him, sure you have to be quick, and do realize you're not going down in 1 shot, Cole can take quite a few bullets before he went down and there's plenty of spot to charge your health in that area. I don't go run at him in my play.

Cool to see someone else use a different method. I tried hiding behind cover, recharging from certain spots but he would always get me. So i just stuck with the run at him solution.

Bear in mind, you can ignore those missions in the game and coem back when you have more abilities, such as the ability to snipe the gatling gunners or
rain down some motherfucking thunder on
the turrent trucks

I don't get the complaints about the graphics (playing through HDMI on a 25" 1080p monitor w/ 2ms refresh). Sure, there is some pop up and the AA could be a little bit better (guessing its at 2xAA as is). I think it looks great, especially for an open sandbox game.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and SPIL GAMES, the world’s ultimate online game destination, today announced that the official mini-game for the upcoming title, inFAMOUS, will debut exclusively on SPIL GAMES online casual game portals from May 22-29. Playable directly in the browser window on both PC and Mac computers, the mini-game will showcase the action-adventure gameplay style featured in the hotly anticipated inFAMOUS PLAYSTATION®3 game expected to launch in Europe in late May 2009.

In the inFAMOUS mini-game developed by Kerb, players get to extend their inFAMOUS experience through playing this free platform based 2D version of the PS3 title. The plot of the mini-game is based around the game's main character, Cole, navigating his way to a power generator located on the roof of an abandoned precinct house in Empire City.
Players have to battle their way through gangs of iconic villains whilst solving puzzles using Cole's agility and electrical super powers. In addition to achieving the games ultimate goal, player's actions are constantly being monitored, providing real-time updates of how in-game decisions affect their morality.

The style in which players complete the game dictates the final scenes of the game, as well as letting players compare their own morality against players from around the EU.

SPIL GAMES will feature the inFAMOUS mini-game exclusively on select casual game portals in their global network including: www.Agame.com, www.MyGames.co.uk, www.Spielen.com, www.Spel.nl, www.Jeu.fr, www.Giocaregratis.it, www.Zapjuegos.com, www.Clickjogos.com, www.Minigry.pl, www.Spel.eu, www.Flashgames.ru, www.Game.co.in, www.Games.co.id, www.Egames.jp, and www.A10.com.

I never failed :O
I'm sure it does...because I completed two missions...then second run through I wanted to look around then the timer failed and I was pushed to another side mission...I THINK. I might have been pushed to one I've done before. Can't remember cause I've got the full game now.

Anyone know where to get some hi-res shots of Infamous' comic book scenes? They'd make kick ass backgrounds for the XMB.

2, one for good and one for evil. IT may be the same ending, just approached differently what karma you're at.

I'm curious about this as well, I did a total "Evil" run and a total "Good" run. Did anyone
get the good ending, but save Trish? It seems like her death factors heavily into the ending and the little "I'm so alone" tag.

Doesn't she die no matter what?

I didn't.. but I assume
she dies anyway
.

Anyway, let's talk about Stunts. I have 5 left to complete.
Story is done, but I only have about 50% completion for each island.

Anyone find a good spot/side-mission anywhere for the
reflect a grenade and kill an enemy
stunt?
I knew I should have done it
at the top of the tower, before the fight with Alden
.

Are you free in the world after you "beat" the story missions? In case I miss a few Blast Shards or something, I'd like to run around after the story and goof around.

Yeah you can do that. In fact thats what I am doing right now... I have 225 shards out of 350... I am going block by block to get all the shards. I'm done with the third island, now doing the second. :D

I enjoyed the demo actually.

I do wish that there was a little bit of AA, but hell. :lol

The platforming is fun and the shooting is pretty good.
I like the difficulty and how it forces you to move and take cover.

Bumping the demo up to Hard now :lol

I'm about the same, but it's the damn stunts I'm trying to finish first. I only need a few dead drops also.

Where does it tell you this?
In the Save/load game information.

BTW, in the real game, by the time you hit the demo missions, you are most likely going to be way less powered up than you are in the demo, with less/different abilities.

In the save screen. Just go to your save file and after a second it will show you all kinds of information... Districts taken over, completion percentage, dead drops collected, power ups and upgrades completed, stunts completed etc etc.

I wish they would show up on the main map... It's gonna be a bitch if I end up getting 349 and dont know where the last shard is. :lol

that cool flash game should be placed on an arcade @ Home or something. wth is wrong with Sony?

also anyone know the site to the other sony game that plays like worms?

If you start a new game to play the other side, do you have to collect everything again or does it remember them from the last game?

picked it up in LA yesterday and played for an hour or so. i'm not nuts about the art style, and i hope they go with something more vibrant if there's a sequel. but so far this game is undoubtedly dope- the controls are intuitive and HOT DAMN the climbing feels exactly how you want climbing in a video game to feel. it's decently challenging but not frustrating, and the predictive jumping thing makes it easy-but-not-too-easy to pull off awesome looking stunts. ok now i want to go play.

Watch the PSN videos, beside the "powa of the Ps3" hyperbole, the dev talk is pretty interesting. They have some stuff about their debug modes.

Does anyone know how many chapters there is in inFamous? (if know please use spoiler tag)

Dunno what you mean by chapters, but if you are looking for the number of missions, there are
40
main missions and
84-100 (not too sure which)
side missions, plus
15
good or evil missions.

I'm not sure whether
100
side missions includes the good/evil missions or not. It might be
84
side missions (cuz there are that many districts) and
15
good and evil missions, for a grand total of
99
, or
100
side missions with an additional
15
good or evil missions.

Rest assured, there are too many to count.

For dudes who beat it on evil, is the "free-mode" city at the end light or dark? Its day time for me on Good, which is awesome, because the game looks about twice as good in the light as it does in the dark.

Its out in Hong Kong, i just picked up a copy with the free postcards.

There was supposed to be a preorder perk of the 'gigablades' but since i didn't technically preorder the game when I went to shop today i never got it...haha

Can anyone who has already beaten the game or is close give some advice on the
helicoper
mission?
I keep losing track of it by grinding down the wrong wires and other stuff. It's driving me insane.

Not really spoilers, but never hurts to be safe.
