inFAMOUS - The oFFicial Thread

Awesome thanks for the help. One last question If I leave the first Island am I ever able to go back to it? I ask because I am on the mission that sends me to the second Island and I still don't have the hover ability.

yeah, there's a story mission to address that, afterwards you'll be able to go back whenever you want. twas a pretty fun mission for me

Its one of those enemy shard missions, go kill some enemies in that area.

There's not a single enemy in the area. There have been and I've killed them, but no mission. I guess I'll restart the game and see if that helps.

EDIT: Dying and then coming back worked...

So how do you trigger the last mission in the Historic district after you've completed the game?

The last mission? There should be the blast area +2 side areas connected to it at the bottom of the Historic area. All of these areas are considered one mission (the final story mission). Completing it will clear those areas for the 100%. If it is some other area, and you don't have an icon on the map then it must be a shard collect mission and there must be an enemy somewhere in that zone.

I'm 2/3 islands in & sick of inFAMOUS, platformings to easy & missions are repetitive for me that I've ended up getting bored when playing :(

I've finally completed it as both good and evil, now for my hard playthrough! I kinda prefer the evil ending out of the two actually,
the city is mine, all MINE! Muahahaha!
although the scene on island 3
where Trish dies and tells you how she's ashamed of you is pretty heartbreaking
.

I just got to where I fight
sasha
and I swear before I jump into the hole where she is a Blast Shard is being shown on my radar but I cant see it anywhere. Am I going crazy?

Ok, how can I get Crowd Control - Kill 5 Enemies at once, easier with a grenade? I killed x5 enemies (said "unstopable") but the stunt didn't unlock. What's that shit?

There aren't any shards in that area, don't worry.

You need to kill 5 enemies with one grenade. Easiest to do with the spider-scorpions.

Everyone looking for blast shards...

You do know you can click L3 and a blue icon will appear where there is a shard if you're close to one, right? I spent like an hour or so last night just running around clicking L3 and getting an assload of shards. :D

Just in case.

I was right there with you. I've taken a break the last three days and just sat back reading/watching the E3 stuff. I'm ready to get back in now.

I think I put way too much time into the game at launch, getting every single shard and dead drop as well as spending lots of time just trying to get a few stunts. Wrong way to play this game IMO, and from here on out (I just got to the Warren, so I'm an island behind where you are) I'm just gonna pace myself, do a few shards and missions a day and that should keep me from burning out on the game.

Ok, got the crowd control one. Pew. However I made that bride mission at the beginning of chapter 2 and for some reason I became slightly more evil because of that mission. There weren't any choices though, I don't understand it. Can I still get all good trophies now in my run through?

you probably killed or hurt civilians/cops. I did a few times accidentally as well. You'll be fine with your karma and achievements as long as you don't make a habit of it.

I am missing one blast shard from each of the first two islands. Any suggestions for any known difficult shards? I got the one way out in the water and I've also combed the prison from top to bottom. Very, very frustrating.

Was anybody else unable to get Evil karma on Secrets Revealed? I've restarted this mission 15 fucking times already...

But why? You don't have to, doesn't matter if you get Good karma on a mission, as long as there's no trophy connected to a particular happening. Just keep playing and fry some civilians, you'll make up for the small positive increase.

It's not small.. it knocks me almost a full bar lower (down to outlaw)

w/e if I don't get it this time I'll just live with it

Samehere, I invested around 18 hrs in two days (Maybe more?). Then I let a friend borrow it around the time I made it to the third island and now, I can barely make it past the initial loading screen before returning to the XMB.

I'm completely burnt out on the experience. For now. Can't wait to finish it though.

ugh 3 shards left still and I'm out of ideas. I love the game, but I haven't even played it in 3 days because I just dont want to look for these things anymore. I might try again tonight, but it doesn't help that I discovered SoCOM last week.

Hope so...

Just saw it, there's a trophy for it...

Goody Two Shoes - Reach full positive Karma.

I will be very pissed if I don't get it just because of one mission where some civillians died. For those people who got this trophy, did you get it relatively early or was it very close to th end?

Dont worry; just start healing people in the streets. You'll be up to the full Karma without doing any missions at all (plus the 250 healed trophy).

Even if a few missions considered you evil, you'll still nab full Karma.

It's pretty easy to get actually, I wouldn't worry about it. You'll get it way before the end of the game.

Damn gotta beat this game! Only first island too! frikking E3.

Anyhow where can I get the"transfer to 4 grinds w/out stopping" stunt? I cant find a good place in Neo district. Is it easier on island 2/3?

Just jump between the 4 rails on the railway track, should be easy to get after a few tries (to make the larger gap between the middle segment, wait until the track turns, easier to nail it then).

ah ok, thanx.

Where can I get the "throw the grenade back" stunt? Seems to be the last hard one I'm missing.
Right Back At Ya is easiest against normal enemies (like reapers or dustmen) who, after being unsuccessful with shooting you, generally pull out a grenade.

Just keep some distance and send it back with shockwave. Try not to kill the enemy with the shockwave first if you're evil :lol

Thanks man, seems you were just the same as I am now.

Yeah I think I've burnt out, blasted it and first and it's wore off, gone leave it and see what happens tho my philosophy now is if I'm not having fun play something else as I only have limited time.

Man, just recently beat the game... did NOT see that ending coming.

Overall the last boss fight felt kind of boring, but the rest of the game's missions and bosses (I loved the Alden fight) were top fucking notch.

I need to finish some other games, but I'm SOOOO tempted to boot this up again and start from scratch as an evil character.

The Uncharted beta killed my PS3 with inFamous inside it. I was able to replace my PS3 with their plan, but I can't get the game back. Even though I bought the game a week ago (and still have my receipt), they said they cant exchange it without proof of the disk.

Guess I won't be able to play though on the evil side until it drops in price. :(

How do you get 100% completion?

The save file looks like this:

Code:
Reputation: Hero
Completion: 90%
Power and Upgrades: 48
Districts: 84 of 84
Dead Drops: 32 of 32
Blast Shards: 350 of 350
Stunts: 21 of 21

FINALLY I got all of the shards.

Holy Crap.
Anyways I am 7000xp (loud sigh) from the final lightining powerup. No missions left. Am I screwed?

That's only a little over two thousand people you have to heal. Start movin'!

Actually I think there are still some areas where enemies respawn at even if you cleared all the areas. No matter how you look at it though, you've got a long grind ahead of you. :(

I know of a few monster places, ugh.
I will grind that out tomorrow then plow through the evil side. I will have a platinum for this game! >:(

Just finished my Good playthrough. Loved the ending, though honestly I saw it coming from a mile away. I do think they're setting up the second game really nicely though.

I'm a little confused as to whether in Cole Prime/Kessler's timeline Empire City was decimated by a Ray Sphere as well. If not, there has to be some other explanation for how Cole Prime/Kessler gained access to his powers. I'm assuming we'll get this backstory in the next game, and the setup is obviously for the "Red Nemesis" in the ending to be the villain. I do think it was a bit over-the-top for Cole Prime to basically commit suicide-by-alternate-timeline-alter-ego-killing, but whatever. He needed to make sure Cole became a good guy by becoming a bad guy, so I suppose he felt he needed to play the part until the end.

It really makes you think back on the choices and the behavior after you see the ending, so I appreciate that, but does the ending change at all if you play through as infamous?

You've essentially ruined Kessler's plan if you end up infamous at the end, so I can't imagine he'd be too happy, though I guess his reaction in the ending is ambiguous enough that it works for either side you play though.

sorry if old...

anyone see that new Commercial they just showed on Spike during Ultimate Fighter, its different and longer than the regular commercial... it starts by showing Sucker Punch's logo....

it was Fukin sick....it might be Sony's best commercial so far....

also has an unexpected ending.

I'm really surprised that SCEA's marketing division got their heads out of their asses and are actually managing to promote this game so well. I'm quite shocked really.

I'm on my third playthrough as good.
Does activating the Ray Sphere power you up on good? I sure hope it does because I don't like evil powers as much as good in this game.

so yeah ..Infamous is fucking sweet , best game this year with KZ2 , completed my first Island ( good run ) and few mission on the 2nd Island , that half naked babe is super hot , and Trish is one mean ugly bitch .

anyway super awesome game :D

You'll definitely like evil run if you think Sasha is hot. To me she sounds hot, but the
tongue
creeps me out.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I just had a question regarding XP:

Will I be able to buy all of the upgrades by just completing the story and side missions or will I have to "grind"?

Grind.

I'm really enjoy my 1st playthrough so far, playing on Medium right now on Hero. Will play on easy aftewards on Evil to get all the shards and stuff and then will play on Hard to get the Plat.

Fuck, the last mission on island 2 is bugged. I got a Dead Drop, and the John VO logo in the lower-left corner won't disappear even though he stopped talking. When I accept the mission, nothing happens.

Restarted the game. Fuuck. I only have one save.

I just played for two and a half hours straight, found 10 dead drops, 81 shards, 4 districts and completed 13% of the game.

As someone who hasn't played Crackdown, this is my introduction to this sort of game. HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT.
